I also think if agreement isn't made and Matchroom win the purse bids highly unlikely to be in Sheffield anyway as fighters normally don't like going to other home towns. Can see it been in Manchester or another arena that has capacity around 10k.
Like with the Alexander fight it went from Vegas to LA to Detroit finishing in Atlantic City all of which were not Alexander's home town of St Louis.
Will Goldenboy dig deep for Porter? They sempt to have cast Alexander away as a non-main event fighter more of a main undercard one.
If purse bids are lost how good would a Mayweather vs Khan - Porter vs Brook MGM Las Vegas be US vs UK

I'd love to see Brook vs Porter or Thurmann, Both tough fights but he's in the mix.
Thurman was cracking against Karass. Seems to be improving with every fight.

He has a slight point, but the Froch v Groves fight didn't involve a foreigner so that argument is pretty void. Burns and Froch were the champs and got the benefit of a bad score card/ early stoppage where as porter would be the champ in this case. Plus the judge who scored it to Burns wasn't British. And then you've got the Quigg v Salinas draw where the home fighter was unlucky (definitely wasn't robbed but I had him winning that fight). As per usual, I think boxing fans are blowing things out of proportion. But to be fair, Germany seems to have improved in that respect.

Really? Can you honestly say you think away fighters should expect to get a fair shake in the UK? It's certainly worse here than in the US. Sadly it reached the point where whether Germany or the UK is worse is irrelevant, they're both places an away fighter should avoid if they can.
