I remember that. The fighter dropped to his knees and started shuffling around the ring. Soccer am had a clip of it and showed it about 50 times, my ribs ached for weeks.

Personally I Have 2.

#1. Prince Naseem vs Billy Hardy.
They weigh in was class. Nas fans wearing Big ears and Hardy just laughed it off, proclaiming he had too much for Nas. Come fight night, Nas absolutley blows Hardy away in 1 round. Hilarious.

#2. McNeely vs Tyson...
McNeely was confident in this fight, but got blasted out The stairdown was a classic. McNeely was hilarious rushing at Tyson trying to KO him in the 1st round.
They're the two I immediately thought of when I saw the thread title. Seeing as I shelled out the PPV for the Hardy fiasco made it even funnier. Sporting Life predicted a first round KO ( and so did Naz ).

And McNeely "I'll wrap you in a cocoon of terror!!" was just hilarious.

Most Frank Bruno fights had a high comedy element ( as in French farce )

Hatton fights are getting funnier by the day.

Nelson v De Leon was hysterical in a tragic comedy type of way. I remember crying.....then laughing.

I can't believe you don't remember whether you were there or not. If you were............You lucky bastard!!
It was his opponent i felt sorry for. He'd done all that preparation, worked really hard practicing his meanest face for the fight, then the guy in the other corner starts his whole wounded oompa loompa routine. Truly tragic.

Yeah, McCarthy refused to fight on so they had to give it to Wilson.

Ryan Rhodes Silky Jones was quite funny. Jones sticks out his chin daring Rhodes to hit him and he does, and stops him shortly after.

Similarly Mark Prince is getting hit by Michalczewski and drops his hands as if to say ' come on you can't hurt me' and then Dariusz knocks him out with the next shot.

I hear Campbell Peden is the best of these kind of endings though...

Like Stu, I could never take to Hamed after the way he mocked and humiliated Robinson.
So to see Barrera get Hamed in a reverse headlock, frog-march him across the ring, then slam him face first into the corner post .... brought a smile to my face anyway.

Another funny moment was when touted Heavyweight Joe Awome got tangled up with his opponent and they both went hurtling head-first through the ropes, sending Harry Carpenter into hysterics.
I always forget the opponents name, even though Bennie has reminded me before.

Francis Vs Tyson...................Francis hit the deck (more than once) without Tyson even connecting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Calzaghe Vs Pudwill...............Need I say more?

Hatton vs............any opponent!!!!!!!!

Barrera said "Who's your daddy?" when doing that.

i dunno about funny but i think one of the most shocked expressions has got to be kirkland laing when colin jones caught him. (cant remember if it was fight I or II)
one minute the uber skillfull kirkland was showing superb boxing ability then the next he was on the canvas with a "what the feck happened there" look on his face.
both jones and laing were excellent fighters/boxers respectivley imo and i dont know if i`m just looking back through rose tinted glasses but the domestic scene seemed so much better back then.
one of the funniest was that riddick bowe fight when his opponent throws a kick at bowe after the bell so they start going at it again only for rock newman to get on the apron and pull the fella over the top rope and out of the ring from behind. its nuts.

Roy Jones V Glen Kelly...Roy with both hands behind his back sticking his chin out and then as soon as Kelly moved in came the left hook....

And also against Clinton Woods when he touched his heel then threw the uppercut all in the same motion...quite astonishing.

Meldrick Taylor v Julio Chavez II

Taylor boxing well again and starts to showboat and waving Chavez in and then ends up getting dropped and stopped.

Personal thing but I remember watching Tyson versus Spinks on delay back in 1988
I was watching it with a friend who was convinced that Spinks would teach Tyson a boxing lesson.
Convinced beyond being able to listen to a word I said.

I fell off my chair 2 1/2 minutes later.
