I believe the example that Holyfield used was that if someone was born with a leg that was bent the wrong way then they would go to the doctor and attempt to get it fixed.

What he said regarding homosexuality was basically the standard Evangelical Christian opinion. Or it's certainly an opinion I've heard expressed by prominent Evangelicals in the past. The idea being that homosexuality is abnormal, that it is wrong, that people should work to cure it in the same way they would any other aliment and that participating in homosexual acts is a choice.

Some sections of the Twitterverse have reacted with anger and shock at Evander's comments, and he was called in by Big Brother and given a talking to, but the opinion he expressed is the one I would have expected him to have. He is after all renowned for being a devout Evangelical Christian.
