Duce, as a further explanation, Buzz still clings to the wet dream that Ali had Frazier in real trouble in the second round and that only the incompetence of Perez in ending the round early saved Joe.



But who knows, maybe Ali was fixin' to come with the anchor punch.

Thank mate, really enjoyed it.

I saw the second bout between Joe Frazier and Jerry Quarry on television. Referee Joe Louis simply let a virtually helpless Quarry take far too much punishment instead of stopping the bout. In other words, I feel that Louis did a terrible job as a referee in the bout.

I understand this love affair that Yancey and Il Duce are engaged in. Based on their mutual loathing of a particular boxer. And I have no idea what may have happened had Perez officiated properly in their second encounter....it was simply a mistake...or series of mistakes. No one knows what the outcome would have been had he done a good job.

I just pointed out that mistakes were made....that interfered with both men's business. I recognize that.

For those who don't.....it's all good. It's easy to have one's passion interfere with the recognition of superfluous complicating facts, physics, and photographic evidence.
