Galahad was getting beaten by Jazza, if Jazza would have left a bit more in the tank, or had better conditioning he would have won. I don't believe the hype with Galahad I don't think will ever be on Framptons level.

Frampton is very near world level and filling out arena's and Galahad is fighting on undercards in shopping centres

time for him to step up in level if he wants anything to do with Quigg or Frampton

It's not really the promoter thing that stands out, yes it matters - but Hearn has already spoke at length about how Barry McGuighan cut off him from his fighter, and basically took all calls and emails with regards Frampton.

I think in an iFilm Interview he basically said he liked Carl a lot as a guy and a fighter, but had struggled to develop a bond due to the above.

I thought he said Belfast didn't sell? Also, who would want Eddie getting close to their fighter with his track record? Barry had every reason to be worried.

Eddie didn’t say that Belfast didnt sell. It sold well and even Eddie said it was up there with the best atmospheres he has experiences. He did say it didn’t rate well though, no figures given. Maybe English fans, which is the vast majority of SKY Sports subscribers, don’t tune in if there is no English interest!?

I think you have answered your own question, Slap.

However I know about a dozen English lads personally whom have been over to his last fights in Belfast and think it's great and are always recruiting more to join them too.

The interest is definitely there, but the opponent was always a bit mediocre. Kiko had been beaten handily on sky a couple of times before he faced Frampton - but that was perhaps his most popular fight to date.

I guess I'm trying to say is with the right man in the opposite corner, the TV audience might have started catching up with the live audience.

That said, when he was on the Froch Bute card, the highest ever viewing figures of any sky boxing event to date - he was mind numbingly boring to watch. It killed the live card dead and at a time when he really needed to put himself in the shop window.

I don't think it comes close personally, Hatton-Mayweather sold around 1.2 million, that was just before the financial crisis, now people are pushed for cash and can see better value for money than paying £15 on top of their Sky subscription to watch a fight. Throw in that Hatton is the best supported fighter ever in this country and quite possibly the world and was fighting the best P4P fighter in the world, in Las Vegas in a genuine superfight. Froch-Groves would be for #2 at Super Middleweight, between two fighters who aren't household names and Froch is just too dull personality wise to sell a fight in the way Hatton-Mayweather did.

When they done a piece on there fight live on the bbc sports personality of the year the massive audience knew them very well, they even applauded groves when the camera was on him for no apparent reason ! When people jumped in my cab for the first 2 or 3 weeks after there fight and noticed my boxing gloves hanging up, they all asked my opinion on the stoppage. Plus the rematch would be on at prime time and be massively advertised on sky for weeks and weeks in the build up, and let's not forget froch's last two fights have sold out in minutes !
Like I said earlier I don't think it reaches hatton v mayweather levels but I'm telling you mate it will be right up there

I must of had 20 friends (12 not really boxing fans) who said get me a ticket if the rematch happens, most of them just want to see froch get beat !

The speed of sales for Froch's last two fights was absolute bullshit. Thousands were kept back for the undercard and for Froch, Kessler and Groves themselves. Straight after the 'sellout' tickets were popping up left, right and centre on ebay, stubhub and various other sites and continued to be there until the fight and I have no doubt tickets were being sold outside the arena as well.

The country got behind Hatton in a way you won't see for a few years yet. Froch Groves 2 will still do more than enough to be deemed a success by Sky and Matchroom though.

I like Frampton and Quigg. I wouldn't be confident picking a winner of that fight, though I would probably root for Quigg.

Something about Galahad though, I think he will be the best of the lot. I hope he is.
