Las Vegas ? Where too stay
Re: Las Vegas ? Where too stay
Just look for the best location to what you want to do while you're there. The best thing about booking for Vegas is the hotels are mint and they cost about the same as a travel lodge in this country, it's insane!
I've stayed in the MGM and the Stratosphere. The Strat is the last hotel on the strip so way out of the way but you can catch a monorail from over by the old Sahara and is cheap as chips. MGM is a very nice hotel indeed and in a great spot and still relatively cheap for what you get.
To be honest, you won't spend too long in the hotel room and you'll probably walk around almost all of them anyway, so don't be too fussy.

Imperial Palace, which is now The Quad, is very close MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay and was dirt cheap when I stayed there.

Even the top hotels aren't that dear. I've stayed at Mandalay Bay and that was great. Depends on your budget.

The Polo Lounge is always worth a look.

Stayed at Planet Hollywood last summer. Rooms are decent but nothing special. Loads of atmosphere in the casino and just across the road from Aria which is very nice.sweetscience wrote:ive booked Planet Hollywood... never been but its only $1000 for a decent size room for a week
supposed to be central

The casino there is fantastic. The "pleasure pit" is definitely well named, especially when the waitresses in stocking and suspenders keep bringing you free drinks!sweetscience wrote:ive booked Planet Hollywood... never been but its only $1000 for a decent size room for a week

I stayed in Paris, which was brilliant with a view of the Bellagio fountains from the room. Pretty much every hotel was brilliant though, with something different to keep you entertained.
Some tips for things to do (not that you will be short of things to do),
Go and see Beatles Love by Cirque du Soleil - it is pricey but well well worth it if you like The Beatles music.
Get a steak at Mon Ami Gabi in Paris
Go to the Miracle Mile shops in Planet Hollywood and go to the Blondies Sports Bar - they do a $20 all you can drink from 3-6pm everyday. You need to give a tip as well but you can definitely cram a lot into these three hours!

If you are going for a boxing show, then MGM.
Outside of that it depends on budget, but Vegas hotels are cheap and great value for money.
I've stayed at Bellagio, Paris, Venetian, MGM, Treasure Island, Monte Carlo and even the Travelodge on the strip.
Bellagio was the best but most expensive. Paris is opposite Bellagio and both are right in the centre of the strip. Aria is a new hotel
next door to the Bellagio and it is connected by a monorail, and apparently a very good hotel.
Monte Carlo is very central and can be booked at cheap prices. I stayed at Treasure Island when I was in Vegas last month and it was cheap as chips. I booked it on expedia for like £30 per night or something like that and but had to pay a resort fee of @$25 per night but they give you a bunch of vouchers for free drinks, cocktails, buffet etc and free wifi, so it was a great deal.

We went there and i shot AK47, Magnum, tommy gun, M16, but there are LOADS of guns to choose from and its a really good set up, you get to keep your targets etc.
Pool parties, jesus christ, we were at the ventetian and it was bedlam, you might have to look into that but they are unreal. Music louder than if you were at a gig, unbelievable birds everywhere, drinks flowing.....i honestly didn't know where to look. We had some dickhead groups of lads but nowt to worry about...just drunk.
For the clubs there is a great club in the Wynn called XS. Its absolutely knockout (excuse the boxing pun) basically, book it in advance a try and get a table in there. You have to garuantee a certain amount of booze but its not bad between a group and it garuantees you a table in a top notch club. Its hard to even get in there so well worth doing.
The brasses i can't help you with, i went with the missus and a few other couples

Try and bang a regular bar girl in the casinos, some are a perfect 10

Depends what you are looking for, I've stayed at the MGM Grand, Caesars Palace and Circus Circus. They are all good but in their own way, stayed at the MGM Grand for the Mayweather vs Cotto fight great hotel and got chips and room key with the fight poster on them so good souvenirs!!
For the Mayweather vs Canelo fight I stayed at Caesars Palace, got a free room upgrade and it's another nice hotel, quite dear for some things though but worth a visit.
Stayed at the Circus Circus for the Pacman vs Mosely fight, this was a good option because a couple of the boys travelling with us didn't have teh extra money to get a better hotel. It was nice hotel, clean rooms too and had a great buzz because of the Pacman fight. The only bad point was it was at the other end of the strip (but close to the strip clubs)
If you don't care about staying at a hotel with a casino then there are really good suite hotels like the signature at MGM , cheaper than the MGM but each room has a living space with separate bedroom with jacuzzi bath etc
