The only 'mixed match' I was aware of that almost took place involving Sammartino was with George Foreman. It of course never happened, but for a while it was gathering alot of attention--- Sammartino even did a documentary on television and a documentary movie about his life directed by George Romero, where he mentions that he wanted to prove to people that despite the pageantry of some, he was a legitimite athlete and attempted to fight Foreman--- but the money wasn't enough for Big George.
