Maybe froch is letting groves ham it up big time so the emphasis is on George when he looks at challengers rates & then don't want it with froch.

Froch is champion and will get home advantage and probably a ref who thinks he's a warrior and should allow him to get through any hard parts of the bout; Groves deserves a bigger share than last time but may settle for the same given Froch won't box again.

Looks like this fight is close to being done! Just ironing out the contracts and finer points apparently. Should have confirmation over the next 2 weeks

One thing I don't know for sure but they are hoping for Wembley! Both parties could make serious money and if George wins you can guarantee a 3rd fight!

It seems an odd one, we have Eddie practically saying its a done deal even publically saying its venues he is looking at.... yet Froch is not saying the same thing - saying he would rather fight someone else.

Every fighter wants to fight at there teams ground but it don't get bigger then wembley stadium in Britain !!! What it would do for the sport in terms of getting it nationally recognised & the excitement a big fight brings when you have these two facing off! The benn & co. Phrase is used unjustly in most other cases but on this occasion it as good as imp

Wembley is too big and it's unavailable every Saturday in May and early June, after that I'm not sure but it's likely to be used for various events through the summer. Chisora-Fury will probably bring as much national recognition as Froch-Groves, partly because Froch is an arsehole, so people don't wanna know, but also because Chisora and Fury are heavyweights and both are well known for controversy and it's likely to kick off in the build up.

I disagree completely. Groves/Froch II is a much bigger fight than Fury/Chisora II.

Without a doubt they could fill Wembley, everyone wants a piece. Whether they can get the venue is a different story.

I've been to Wembley, I can't think of anything worse than watching a fight there!

Think I'll stick to watching it on the tv if it happens, £15 when you'd be looking atleast £200 tickets to even see the punches!

And I bet it'll have a shit undercard

I have to say outdoor venues and boxing don't mix IMO. You lose the atmoshphere

It won't come close to 100,000, people aren't hugely interested in the fight and Froch and Groves are hardly household names. Heavyweights sell, especially ones with mouths like Fury and Chisora who are bigger names than Froch and Groves thanks to fighting on Channel 5 and the antics with Haye and Klitschko.

Makes me laugh how people talk about Froch like they know him "Froch is an arsehole" Yeah I'm sure that's why pretty much every UK boxer/ex-boxer likes or at least respects him apart from Groves. He handled the Groves situation poorly and comes across arrogant at times but I've seen much worse. Seems to be fashionable to hate Froch at the moment even though he's achieved shed loads more than any other active UK boxer.

He is an arsehole, always has been, always will be and a hypocrite to boot. There's a difference between respecting and liking someone, even I respect his achievements in the ring, but that doesn't mean he's likable in any way shape or form. He's not the first fighter to be an arsehole, but at least people like Naz were entertaining and funny with it, Froch is just dull, that's why he's never got the 'recognition' he claims to deserve and never will. Anyone who has to try and big themselves and their achievements up to sound good is an arsehole, if you're truly great, your achievements speak for themselves.

Froch v groves is far bigger then fury v groves as it's elite level!! Plus Chisora can't draw flies & fury ain't box office as yet. Outside venues work if the capacity is there

I agree partly but surely most boxers big themselves up. Ali called himself the greatest before anyone else did (obviously not comparing him to Froch but people did think Ali was arrogant and he did get a lot of hate back then). I suppose it's hard to stick up for Froch at times but the aftermath of the Groves fight was just ridiculous IMO. Groves is doing my head in playing on the myth he was robbed! Could argue he was robbed, could also argue he was saved. Either way, Groves is now some kind of hero after losing and Froch is a villain after coming back from a punch that i personally would've been killed by, followed by a fair few more clean punches, to put Groves on the back foot going into the final stretch of the fight. The man is a machine.

I keep changing my mind on the stoppage & there's a good case for it being a tad too early. Groves was facing the floor with his arms slumped.i somehow saw again him on sky sports news saying he himself wasn't clear on if the stoppage was right & once he saw the footage he felt completely robbed which I think if your saying your head was clear you wouldn't need clarification & suggests he was in distress & the ref didn't give him the oppurtunity to get wrecked because he has a chinny label

The stoppage came after Froch's first real sustained attack. Sure it was an early stoppage but Groves was in big trouble.

Not good to be unravelling at the first sign of pressure from a top fighter.

Delighted the rematch looks like it coud well happen!

Even groves says the only success froch had in the fight & he was badly in trouble

Not sure about deserved as we've not seen enough of his chin. But the stoppage wasn't as bad as some like to make out. Groves was in deep water whether he admits it or not.

Regardless, can you imagine the feeling when they touch gloves and walk back to their corners for the 2nd time. Immense excitement, nerves and expectation flowing through millions up and down the nation!! Excited

Carl will certainly show him a bit more respect in any rematch. If he doesn't then he is a nutter.

Keep it tight, don't give anything away, even if it means losing the first 3 or 4 rounds, then ease your way in to it. Rough housing when up close again etc

Should be another cracker.
