good point just didnt surprise me it was a former Fury opponent gives it another way to build, the posters and press conference happening at the moment would make you think its Fury v Chisora next.

to be fair though for a late notice replacement Kevin Johnson isn't bad at all.

Kevin Johnson is a better opponent than what I was expecting. Chisora to me, looks very beatable. A Chisora-Fury rematch doesn't do much for me and is a step back for Fury really.

As for Johnson V Chisora, I'd expect Del Boy to be working the body of an elusive Kingpin who ultimately promises miracles but produces very little. I'd suspect a negative performance from Johnson here, although he did KO Alex Leapai a year or so back in the 9th RD and I think I am right in saying that Johnson has never been stopped and never been down in his Pro career. Chisora probably won't stop him but his early work should get him the decision. I'd expect this to be a 10 rounder to ensure the victory for Dereck.

Kevin Johnson just lost a wide decision to Christian Hamer. It doesn't matter about his conditioning it doesn't seem he can win a fight against an opponent who wants to win himself. Thinks too much of defence, cannot let his punches go.

Hamer has always had a little bit about him. Was a good amateur and has been matched fairly tough as a pro too. Still time left for him to do something

Chisora will defeat Kevin Johnson by early referee stoppage.

Johnson will take several punches on his gloves, and then the referee will wave off the fight. Johnson will stare in bewilderment, and his trainer will be livid.

Maybe Hamer is okay. He was struggling in the fight before coming up with the good, but I do agree his resume is improving and I don't think he is far off being mentioned in the higher echolons bracket. If Chisora can get in the world title mix after losing so many on the spin then Hamer's resume isn't that far behind.

However, Johnson has no ambition. He aint prepared to mix it up - okay gave him the benefit first time as he was fighting Vitali, but against Fury and Hamer it was same safety first display.

He might have some skills, but that's no good if he aint prepared to use them. To be honest, I'd rather see someone like Matt Skelton in there - yeah, Chisora might score an early KO - but at least you know Skelton is prepared to give it a good go. Johnson is just shite - Larry Holmes esque jab or not. No amount of training is going to control his mindset, when the going gets tough - Johnson lays on the ropes.

not a bad opponent for chisora should give him some useful ring time - he is getting to be an experienced practitioner no bad thing.

He's got those wins, but Fury's beaten Rogan, Johnson, Cunningham and Chisora himself, which is enough to keep him above Chisora, unless Dereck beats someone like Wlad or one of the top contenders like Pulev.

Johnson is a much better opponent than Rudenko.

I thought he deserved the decision against Hammer, I had him winning by 3 points.

Don't forget Helenius. That's probably a better "win" than Fury's best win.

Fury lacks a win over a real standout name. Helenius used to be considered a dangerous fighter.
