It seems like Mick is doing what he did with Froch, taking his time building him up the rankings and waiting for the right time, Carl was 30/31 when he beat Pascal for the WBC so James isn't that far away. If he can get his shot this year and make the most of it then doors will open...

That's fxxking disgraceful really. Chavez Jr lost his last fight, and got a dodgy decision. Can't the WBC at least wait until the rematch before giving him the push to #1 ?!?!
He didn't even make weight in his sole fight at 168, he was nearer 175 if I remember, and he didn't win the damn thing anyway.
WBC has a serious hard-on for Chavez jnr............
The late Jose Suliman was his godfather which explains a lot.
