Jeff is a top ref..found him fair and even a laugh why fighting..top bloke..cant think of a reason why he should not be a top ref..

Hello Mr Crusader, apparently Jeff gets to know in July if he has made it, so all fingers are crossed for him. I am sure that Jeff is grateful for all the posts of support.

He's certainly better than a lot of the star class referees I've seen. If it's based on performance I don't see how they get that rank and he doesn't.

The interview process involved the BBBofC, the other A-Class refs and Michael Buffer. Here's a transcript.

Well done to him, hard working ref. He seems fair to both boxers when ive seen him. Makes good stoppages, and shows compassion to the loser.
Like most British refs, he doesn't try to make a name for himself and lets the boxers get on with it.

I have heard that Jeff Hinds has been a referee since 1991 that is 22 years. I understand that he has been put forward for A-Star grade constantly since 1998 and has been continually turned down whilst
others less experienced and skilled have been upgraded. I know Jeff has
been very professional regarding this but how long before the matter is
thoroughly investigated. Don't give up Jeff we are watching with
interest and you are clearly one of the best in Britain

The Irony actually made me LOL hahahahha; Jeff Hinds can only referee a maximum of 10 rounds so why would he say Thisis 12 rounds or less!!
