Best jab of all time in any division?

Well his jab was excellent. But I think his combinations were his signature.

Besides, I have found to print that name in any positive way, gets a certain contributor to hit the search button, and go off on a tangent with her rebuttal. So...it's a good idea to keep all things M.A. on the Q.T.

No, the point is that he didn't have an excellent left jab because Norton showed Ali could be countered off the jab. Cooper showed it a couple of times too but his eyebrows sprung a leak before he could really do much about it. Ali did not throw it in a technically correct way and didn't protect his right side when throwing it. If a lesser mortal did it the way Ali did, the guy would get hammered. But Ali had so much talent, he could get away with it most of the time. Thus, his jab was "good," but not "excellent."

Louis had a problem with his jab early in his career (and it cost him against Schmeling), but Blackburn corrected it and he had a nearly perfect jab for the rest of his career.
