When Fury has his head in the right place he has a very strong jab. As mentioned above, Burns is very good.

Kell Brook has an excellent jab. It has power and he times it so well.

Callum Smith is very solid too.

Calzaghe had an awesome jab!

Froch has a very good jab when he uses it. He was sublime against Kessler in the rematch, I thought.

Ahh yes, I forgot about Kell Brook, his is another jab I like, thrown with bad intentions.

Oversees Wlad & GGG have great jabs.

Joshua looks to have the makings of a solid jab.

Right now I`d go with Groves

Glad you mentioned him as was the first that came into my head as well. His jab was beautiful at times, particularly against young mutley if I'm remembering correctly. That was a masterclass in how to use a textbook jab to control the entire fight.

I allway's liked Richard Williams jab it was classy & he used to work off it great.

Jamie Moore was solid compact & jabbed his way in great aswell

Jonny nelson jab was very good more of a range finder & stay away punch or reset punch but he used it to his advantages & style of fighting.

Dean Francis in his prime had a very good jab.

You kind of despair when watch David Price paw with his jab, i'm hoping the new trainer can get him to use it more as a weapon, instead of just a range finder.

A jab isn't a power punch, bringing it up from low makes it difficult to see coming so it's more accurate, which is the whole point of a jab, open up the guard and work off it.

Best jab in UK I've seen is Michael Watson. Best just now is Ricky Burns when he is on form. Gavin's jab vs Vassell was very good although I've seen him paw with it a lot previously.

Think that's one of the things Gavin's been working on since he went back to Tom Chaney, not just pawing with the jab and using it properly.

They're not the kind of jabs I like tbf, they can become increasingly lazy as the fight progresses.

I like it when they are super solid ram rods and ARE a weapon.

Kell Brook got a KO in his last but one fight from a jab. Golovkin floors people with his jab and Fury and Burns use it as weapons too. It also opens up the guard too.

Much better than Audley or David Price just waving it in the air, in my opinion. Or Haye having it dragging on the floor.

Jab is the most important punch & having a good jab is the best weapon!! Your wrong in saying having it that low makes it harder to see. Larry Holmes & tommy hearns held there left low but had it cocked & would snap it up, but not from there knee!!

A jab should be both a range finder and a power punch, especially at HW.
A jab "brought up from low" isn't harder to see coming, quite the opposite it's much easier to parry as it can be parried down and its difficult to put bodyweight behind so has less power. Having it low has far more negatives than positives as it also leaves you open to any shot over your jab. The only way to avoid this is to master the shoulder roll which is extremely difficult to master and dangerous if done wrong as it leaves you wide open. Only a handful of fighters have ever mastered the shoulder roll properly.
IMO Bruno had a lovely jab. It even gave Lennox fits in the early rounds. I also agree that Joshua's is coming along lovely too.

Tony Bellew has a good jab and Sam Sexton's is decent

Carl Frampton jab is decent too

Steve Murray had a very strong jab.

I always thought Henry Wharton had a very good jab.

Billy Schwer had an excellent jab.

JonJo Irwin had a great jab - he could win bouts against good men with the jab on its own, so could Colin McMillan.

Oh, I'm sorry I didn't realise; I'll have a think and put up a fighter (though Herbie Hide had a great jab as well).

Kevin MItchell has a brilliant jab, Jamie McDonnell has a jab that's accurate and pumps out on its own accord and Frankie Gavin has a jab that gauges the distance and sets up other punches.

Agree all good calls, I was thinking of Mitchell's jab earlier on and didn't put it down. McDonnell rapid fire jab keeps it on them.

Clinton woods had a very decent jab & used it very effectively.

I know Darius michelski ain't British but I loved his jab!!!behind a proper sound defence like winky wright
