Benn wasn't as powerful at supermiddle as at middle; Froch is remarkably tough and fit, I think Froch would have gone the distance and it would be a very contentious decision probably for Benns clearer work early. Both men would have to hang on at times though.

I would agree that it would take a better fighter than Froch to beat Benn the night he beat McLellan, great match up though.

Great match up Froch is tough as old boots, but think he would have lost to Benn and Eubank in close fights.

I think the best Benn beats the best Froch, but only by a nose, and it would be hell every second. The Benn who fought Watson is asleep by round 9. For Froch, he'd need to box early rather than go to hell and back like with McClellan, because unlike McClellan, Froch is going to get stronger as the fight goes on. Benn could box when he needed to, and well enough to outscore Froch for the first half of the fight. Second half is going to be the trenches, just no matter what.
