I imagine Haye is simply keeping up a bit of promo to maintain some market value before he's known in the media as an ex-boxer.
He's fought only twice since 2010 (going 1-1), suffered an injury rightly referred to as career threatening, he's then hoping to throw a few thousand punches with said shoulder before actually entering full training and fighting again.
The risk of injury/postponement is greatly multiplied and any set backs in rehabilitation will not be quickly resolved.
I'd firmly bracket this as 'Haye hopes he may fight again'.
