Hearn has been hinting at Coyle/Mitchell for a while now so I can see it being that. It's an okay fight but if Mitchell has any serious world ambitions he should deal with Coyle easily enough.

I wouldn't class it as a fight anywhere near good enough to be chief support on a pay per view card.

What a fight figueroa v mitchell would be. Absolute war while it last. Unfortunately it not a fight mitchell would win but would defo warm the crowd up for froch groves. The other 2 champs mentioned would not make exciting fightss

If you were a promoter would you "waste" a decent domestic clash on this bill? I mean, this bill will sell to the casual fan based on the main event alone. I'd think it'd make more sense to save big domestic clashes for bills they can top in their own right. Mitchell vs a top int'l opponent would make more sense, rather than tucking away a big fight vs. the likes of Murray or Coyle way down the undercard when the stadium will be half empty.

Of course, If I was going I'd rather see big domestic clashes. Just looking at it from a promoters POV.

I think he needs Coyle for now for the Hull shows, at least until it's time for Campbell to beat him!

Tend to agree with that. They will get Mitchell in on a big looking fight for a European or fringe title fight. I'd be surprised if they did Mitchell v Coyle for this wouldn't that make more sense as a main event or main co event in Hull (or for that matter on another London show with Joshua?)

I would LOVE for Mitchell to win a world title but I can't see him beating Vazquez.

Mitchell is silly he is not a world level fighter got KO'ed by Burns and Katsidis did him, Vazquez better than both of them.

Pay check might be good but whos he kidding if hes gonna say he can beat Vazquez

I think Mitchell is in a good place though as the moment and he's really got his act together and has kept himself busy in the gym where as around the time of the Burns defeat and Katsidis hammering he was in the boozer more than the gym.

Miguel Vazquez isn't a massive puncher and Mitchell is a very skilled boxer and can move well - I wouldn't say it was totally outrageous to say Mitchell could win. Miguel Vazquez managed a split decision against Prescott and Mitchell absolutely won by a landslide over Prescott so I certainly wouldn't write him off.

Mitchell ain't nowhere near world level I agree. I hope they sort some better undercard fights than fighters like Mitchell

Kevin has world class skills but a british level temperament and has had a local lad made good mindset; if he's disciplined now he can pull some good wins off - he beat Prescott with some style and many were avoiding Prescott at the time, he dismantled Murray better than Rios; Mitchell is a class fighter on his day and it seems as though his out of the ring problems are history, I'd like to see him do well.

How many times have we heard this before. Kevin wasn't in the right place last time, but he's back to his best now, or maybe he's now fighting at a level where he can look good, instead of at world level. I can just about accept the Katsidis excuses, but he has absolutely none for the Burns fight, he looked in great shape, seemed confident, there was no talk of any problems and this is the first I've heard of any, he just ran into a far better fighter on the night and was demolished.

Not sure why anyone finds a Mitchell fight exciting - he has shown his limitations and got comprehensively stopped by Burns; a fighter with less than 30% knockout. Mitchell is a decent British level fighter but no more

Why would Hearn line up a shot at Vazquez for Mitchell when he has Burns in his stable?

I'm scratching my head over that.

Pair of Essex boys aren't they, should have been making offers to Vazquez for a unification fight, not to give Kevin Mitchell a 3rd opportunity at a world title.
