In what way SteveDow? These are all important factors to consider - you can't just go to an event like this without a structured plan in plan, it would be chaos.

Re: clothes it will be trainers, probably leather as there will be beer spilt. Boot-cut / straight cut (but not skinny) jeans, a polo and maybe a hoodie / light military style jacket. Nothing too flash but basically comfortable.

Now my next question is will we be allowed to smoke in the bogs - it has seemed compulsory at recent arena shows I've been at!

Hope not! Couldn't even see at previous shows. Could have been pissing in the sink for all I know. Plus I had to hold my breath for the whole ordeal to make sure my lungs didn't rot away

I don't think the curry itself is that amazing, but as you say the starters/grill options are superb. Long way from Wembley though

At Wembley i will mostly be in the toilets smoking and using house keys and credit cards for incorrect purposes. Food won't come into the equation. Might see 20 minutes of boxing if i'm unlucky

I was particularly amused by stories of packed lunches and ribena in the middle of a seething throng of 20's and 30's pissed up men!

I'd encourage newcomers to London to try some of the authentic Lebanese food on Edgware Road. There's some great places and its pretty handy for Wembley.

Whatever you do don't go to the Wong-Kei in China Town. The service is appaling and when I complained to the waiter that the chicken in black bean sauce I had was rubbery - he said 'thanks very much', the cheek!

Back to your question about smoking in the bogs, i went to haye v enzo mac at the 02 with the missus, and she made the 'mistake' of going to the ladies loo, there were more blokes smoking in there than anywhere else!!

This information is very helpful. I'm factoring in also the altitude of the cheaper seats at Wembley - you are very high up and therefore more prone to wind chill... the smart money is definitely on 'layering'. you'd be a fool to only wear a polo-shirt IMO...

Might have to re-think my attire then! Maybe some cargos, a random university hoody (never been to uni), socks and sandals, a toggle coat (for the chills later on) along with my packed lunch in my backpack and a camera round my neck. I will have zero friends but will be prepared!

This thread has made me think that with a little preparation, there's a chance i could attend without having to give Wonga a call.

My advice would be to take a 'pac-a-mac' along with a pullover which you can tie around your waist when you're not wearing it. Doing this will ensure that you are water proofed should it rain as well as having the insurance of a nice jumper if it gets chilly.

Forget all of the above, go to IKEA bypassing all the cheap wood and straight to the restaurant.

Okay Mr. meat eater!

If you'd like a top quality indian mixed grill, get yourselves down to Queensbury Station ( 5 minutes on the Jubilee Line Underground Tube to Wembley Park Station) and right next to the station there is a great Indian Style Pub called "The Regency". You just need to buzz the door and they'll let you in. The tandoori chicken wings and lamp chops are the best around; get some "garlic mogo chips" to go with it. Wash it all down with Tuskar beer or one of the many they have on tap. It's not too expensive either. Trust me you'll be glad you took my advice!. They have plenty of screens about if there is footy on that day and you want to watch:
