The thing is, the only thing better than being on Sky Sports is being on Sky Box Office. I think the days of a terrestrial channel paying millions for a world heavyweight title fight involving a Brit are gone for good.

The route to being on Sky Sports is exclusively via Matchroom. Ditto for graduating onto Sky Box Office. I reckon the only time this will change is if there is another promoter, with a good stable, who's available to make a deal with Sky, and Sky desire to make the deal and add a 2nd promoter to supply their boxing.

I may be wrong but I can't see a point in the future where another promoter is going to have a red-hot, well known fighter that Sky just have to have on their Sports channels.

Hearn has the best platform to promote the fights through Sky and with SSN and ringside they do a good job but Hearn has to make the right fights because most people aren't stupid.The policy of having less date but more quality and live fights with each show is working for the most part(Hearn has made some mistakes).Sky/Hearn has eradicated half empty leisure centre shows and most arena are sold out so Hearn is doing a good job.I hope allegedy can make Fury-Chisora and it does well and he can put on some better shows soon, the more competition the better for the sport.

Sky would bend their rules for an undisputed British champion. As has been said, the landscape changes dramatically if he fulfils the highest of expectations. Eddie is not a player on the world scene. He is better known for producing cannon fodder for the yanks.

Me too, the signs at the moment aren't promising though. I read reports this morning that negotiations are ongoing between the camps of Chisora and Pulev for a European title fight / IBF eliminator in the summer. And, with a month to go, neither Chisora nor Fury are confirmed as being on the next Copperbox show. The plan was meant to be double headers in Feb and April, prior to their rematch in the summer.

It would be a shame if he couldn`t get that fight on it`s the best fight he can make at the moment and would do good numbers at the stadium and on allegedly it would also get some media coverage.Hopefully it`s gone a bit quite because he will need to make it for July now with the Froch-Groves fight being in late May and with the World cup taking up most of June

Anything he does is going to look small compared to Froch-Groves. Floyd-Khan would have been hugs for the channel if they'd got it.

I wonder what Matchrooms plan b is if, God forbid, sky were to pull the plug on boxing?

Any company their size must have analysed the main risks to the business and mitigated/ planned for them.

Imagine if they bought allegedly!

Can look odd in a post that the channel is also changed to allegedly now....
