I think there's beef because John walked out on Joe. On the flipside John seemed to be implying that Joe run him into the ground with his training methods and that come fight night, he was already knackered.

I got the email for the first few weigh ins and interviews through at around that time. It's hardly like they uploaded all the other stuff first, waited a few hours and then uploaded the Fielding stuff is it?

Fielding's been unproffesional in not making weight or making it clear earlier that he couldn't make weight in a championship fight. That's all there is to this. If Hearn has asked not to do an interview for a few hours while he gets the facts straight on i) Whether the fight will still take place. ii) Why it's come about etc etc then why shouldn't he be allowed to?

Hope fielding gets beat after this he made no attempt to make weight and even had breakfast before the weigh in. Shockingly unprofessional. Adamu is at a huge disadvantage, really hope he pulls it off after this.

Eddie is just as bad telling Rocky not to bother trying to make weight and letting him get so big today "for his safety" but he doesn't give a fvck about Adamu's safety, I wonder if he would let Rocky fight in Adamu's situation... I do like Eddie but this is just ridiculous, its not like a pound in the lower weight class where it usually wouldn't make much difference, who knows how much bigger he will be tomorrow night...

With the significant weight advantage for Fielding and the controversy that goes with it does this mean Adamu may just have to contend with a ref who will be even quicker off the mark to step in and stop the fight due to ever so slightly 'looking out' for the smaller man and erring on the side of caution? A conspiracy too far perhaps although who can be certain of the actions of a referee these days.

I always get pissed at fighters that don't make the weight. Totally unprofessional. A pound here or there is worth arguing but 6lbs is just a joke.

I'm surprised the fight actually got to the scales. Surely his weight problems should have picked up in the check weigh ins conducted by the Board when the fight is announced and 3 days before?

There's a bit more to it than that. Fielding was 8 pounds heavier than Adamu at a day before weigh in and according to Hearn he only told his own promoter that he couldn't make weight that morning. What's the f*****g point in having weigh ins when such a disparity is allowed to go relatively unpunished anyway.

It happens far to often around the world in championship fights. If Fielding is comfortable fighting a guy a full weight class smaller over twelve rounds then fine but someone is going to get badly hurt one day. Adamu should get his purse and be popped back on the plane home with this kind of disparity. Where would the Board, Promoter and Fielding stand if Adamu got badly hurt tonight?

That's up to the board and up to the governing body of the Commonwealth title to deal with. They've stripped him, which is what I think most other organisations do in this situation.
