he didn't "fight" for a world title, he got into the ring, froze, did sweet FA, and got flattened. and got paid a fortune for it.
you could not say he "fought" for a world title in the same way billy hardy or michael brodie fought for it. I know I'm going from one extreme to another to emphasis the point but in terms of giving audley credit - and he deserves some - I draw the line at his world title challenge

Yeah i agree he never attempted anything and he really should never have fought for world title in first place but thats David Haye's flaw, but i was meaning on paper what the records will show
Just coz he was a Gold medalist it doesnt give him devine right to become champion as a pro whether its English,Commonwealth or world or whatever
But when he retires although he,ll always wonder what could have been,he could still be proud he fought for a world title, same way as say Lee Purdy should be proud,he might never have earned it but records show he challenged for it,obviously Purdy's challenge was a lot more busier ;;-)

Joshua stands straight and he might (albeit a big might) get caught early doors.
If they fought would it be the first time two Heavyweight gold medalists fought as Pros?
Frazier vs. Foreman for one. Ali was a light-heavy gold medallist, so he wouwouldn't count. Just thinking out loud

And Klitschko vs Povetkin, of course.

What's funny about his twitter page is there's a link to a YouTube video where he is interviewed by Kugan Cassius and Kugan titles the link -
@Kugy_Bear My interview with the greatest fighter of all time, talking about his return to the ring @audley_Harrison youtube.com/watch?v=mByM-6…
If Kugan is taking the P maybe he should be more subtle about it, lol

What was the point in making an announcement, if he's not going to fight?
I've also wondered why he bothered to make an announcement about unretiring without a fight on the horizon.
Poor Harrison, once a joke, always a joke.

There's no way he'd batter McDermott. McDermott would stop him late on.

Nice use of the word 'think'.
It's hard to tell with Audley sometimes.

Indeed, it was a spirited effort. Its awful to think the Naz generation may remember him for being blown away in a round by the Prince, he was a tremendous battler and pushed Canizales all the way in their first fight.

Audley is only going to get domestic level fights for much smaller paydays.
His days of headlining cards are over

Audley should sign with Mick Hennessy, even if it's just for a fight or two.
That way he can say he boxed live on BBC, ITV and Channel 5.
