That would be a good brawl but have Lewison/Goodwin fallen out?
Two things:
1) My father decided to release Ian from his managerial contract and wished him all the best for the future. There was no fall out he just decided he did not want to manage Ian any more.
2) Hearn will be competing exclusively at Cruiserweight from now on.
Got to be more to it than that. Your dad was really pushing him on here not long ago at all.

That's because he is one, the only reason he ever won was because he was on roids and even with them he was stopped in 75 seconds by McDermoot.

Does seem unusual, why stop managing a fighter if he's improving and making you money, then straight after Lewison's fighting Eddie Chambers on a Warren show, the first time he's fought on one of Wazza's shows, around the time Warren's signing a lot of fighters from small hall promoters.

He was boxing on TV 5 years ago, though. He hasn't learnt a thing in that time. Baffling.

If Lewisham has got the Chambers job it is because he is the opponent. Darren Morgan was supposed to be fighting the Yank but just pulled out last week.

Ben Doughty? Certainly for Larrys comeback. I remember listening to an interview Doughty had big hopes for Olubamiwo.

Two things:
1) Because it was so sudden there's bound to be speculation especially as on twitter your dad says he released him but doesn't want to talk about it and Lewison when asked why he wasn't fighting McDermott he said "ask Goodwin it's down to his doing"
2)Best weight for Jamie Hearn look forward to him fighting Wadi Camacho.

Larry was never any good, and still isn't. He has little idea of how to judge distance, and gets negligible leverage on his punches; he didn't look good when roided to the gills even. His wins were all against professional losers, with the exception of one other guy whose career was entirely against professional losers. Hearn is also a bit of a blunt instrument; his "style" is like a poor man's Dempsey. I would not like to see him in against any of the good cruisers.

That was a poor scrap just looked like 2 men in the street swinging for the trees, also I don't think it was a premature stoppage at all, Larry's legs were gone he's got zero chin.

Amazing that a guy built like a rhino can have the chin of a lamb. I think Larry really needs to give up, first time he got properly tagged by the smaller man and his legs went to jelly.

He is a novice, only really had a handful of amateurs for repton, with a few stoppages, so no real dig deep experience

I'm guessing you're suggesting Lewison would get rid of him in that time? If so, I agree. Hearn is legitimately hard and quite entertaining but he's not good enough or naturally big enough to cause Lewison any dramas.
Indeed, but a great battle of the swingers!
So to speak

He's throwing telegraphed punches with his chin in the air like a goldfish against a blown-up middleweight who's been inactive for 8 years. Same nonsense against Sexton and in basically every fight I've seen him in.

I saw him first in 2009. He's not improved in 5 years despite training at the Wildcard out of his own pocket and obviously taking things quite seriously. He should ask for a refund from whoever's been training him.

1) I released him purely because I decided I did not want to manage him anymore. I manage 35 boxers. Ian is not the first boxer I have released and wont be the last. All that happened was that I was not happy with something and felt I could not manage him anymore.
2) That could easily be a fight that can be made down the line. Jamie has had 7 years out and just one round. He will be out on our big show in May and then July. He is a great character and creates interest!

PS I have been informed that Lewison has now pulled out of the Chambers fight so with me not bidding for the fight with McDermott now I have no idea what his plans are.

Jamie has hardly been inactive though. He's been on the mama circuit.

It seems in MMA there is very little discouragement from the fighters themselves regarding PEDs. Hardly any testing for chemical supplements at all.

That said I was impressed with Hearn he looked very impressive and maybe he has put on that weight naturally. I fought pro from 9st 4lbs all the way up to 11st 9lbs  with no special sweets and was still muscular.

Larry should probably call it a day with seemingly no punch resistance left. Not that he had much of a chin in the beginning anyway. Running the risk of permanent injury with knockouts like that.
Hes been doing mma(and shagging birds if JK is anything to go by).
I checked some of it. Quality stuff.

They're still generally shite though. Decent MMA guys are few and far between in this country, drugs or not. Lots of lads who look the part but don't have the skills, balls or mindset to do any good out of the domestic bubble.

MMA is a bit like wrestling where they all wear tights, it is accepted they are roided up and there is no testing at all.
Originally in Britain most who did it were boys who had failed at the individual disciplines.
I know a few half decent boxers who won easily without having any idea about groundwork.
Jamie Hearn for example won a British title in his first MMA fight.
As time as gone on when standards at the top improved, good boxers got embarassed as they got turned over by decent Jiujitzu boys. At the better levels you don't stand a chance in the cage unless you are a good groundworker. James Toney was a great example.

Nah it's just who they are matched with. There is no distinctive body who are professional, amateur or semi pro mma - you can literally anoint yourself a pro mma fighter and fight mega puddings in every fight.

To beat anyone decent unless you land a lucky shot you have to be able to do a bit of everything or you will get exposed. I don't count the lads who've had one or two fights against nobodies who have never won a fight or also making their debut.

Don't get me wrong it's a big advantage and guys likes tony Moran and particualrly jason ball have done really well.
