The only reason there was a second fight is because everybody knew Chaplin got robbed in the first one, the second one was even worse.

But George didn't exactly dominate the second one.And to top that off, Dokes floored him in the next fight, and they didn't count it.

He dominated both of them, Dokes beat him clearly.

Both were close, and Page edged him.Heck, George should be thankful Page didn't come in shape.A late round stoppage would've happened. Greg hit him with the more telling shots.

It just has to be mentioned. I don't think it's a small city, but so many good fighters came out of it, and trained out of it.... It can't be ignored, It just needs to be mentioned.
Detroit was mentioned earlier in the thread.

George felt that raw, natural power that Page had, and knew what the deal was :DDD :TU: !

I had mentioned Pittsburgh-Greb, Conn, Burley, and Zivic were from there, among others.
St Louis had the Spinks brothers, and Liston and Moore lived there for several years growing up.

Just though Albuquerque, New Mexico: They had Bob Foster, Danny Romero, and Johnny Tapia.

Nile4000 mentioned Louisville: Marvin Hart, Ali, Ellis, and Page were from there.

Yancy mentioned New Orleans, which produced Harry Wills, Joe Brown, and Willie Pastrano.
Garza, Ranzany, Corrales and Lascano(sp). I just moved to Sacramento and it seems they have a boxing gym every couple blocks lol, definitely a fight town. Amazingly for such a small city , Sacramento had 3 of its kids make Jr Team Usa boxing team. Thsts more than New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Chicago did combined

It's just been done to death. You're either trolling or are just too big of a page fan to admit he lost both fights. Either way, it's tiresome at best.

In this case, I'm not near wrong. I can't imagine anyone on earth would agree with you. Probably not even the judges that screwed Chaplin. I've certainly never heard another person share your sentiments.
