That's not how I rank people.

Rigo switches off a lot in the second half - and most of all he is boring as f*ck, can't sell a ticket and could be brought over and placed in a very hostile environment.

People have really put Rigo on a such a huge pedestal.
I'm sure he's not the first man to have that complaint.

He was brought over against Casey though right?
Casey just wasn't good enough to trouble him though, Frampton could be a different scenario, bigger, more hostile crowd and a far better fighter.

x3

Those guys would all be too hot for Frampton. Much too hot.

Rigondeaux is overrated like all Cubans are. Frampton can beat him.
Irish fighters are often overrated too. This thread being a prime example.

Santa Cruz is the clear Number Two in the division for me. If Carl wins next week (as I expect him to) he's gonna have an uphill task against Santa Cruz over in America.

What irish fighters exactly are you speaking of? Elaborate!

Lee, Duddy, Frampton ( judging from this thread certainly! ) even the old stars like Collins and Barry himself receive favourable reviews.

The yanks love an Irish fighter so I guess that adds to the hype. Macklin was getting overrated, well, more overhyped once he started buying in to his Irishness :TU:

I don't believe framton is over rated at all although this thread might suggest so
I think he he could defiantly win a world title against the current crop
I don't agree with your comment about irish fighters being over hyped
Just because we turn out in the thousands and actually support our boxers
Doesn't make them overrated! Over supported maybe there is a difference though
Over rating is wat I see every Thursday on ringside and let me tell ya it's not the
Irish getting over rated

Any half decent prospect from anywhere in the British Isles (I mean that in the geographical sense) gets over-rated.

And that's a compliment to the passionate fans from England, Ireland, Scotland & Wales.

We want them to do well & the media plays up on this knowing it will sell.

Doesn't mean they're not good fighters. Just that we really, really want them to be great fighters.

I wrote this thread and I'm not Irish, hell, I'm from Cornwall now living in London. All I care about is good boxers and I really think Frampton is the next big thing. He is very slick and looks solid at this weight. For one I cannot see how anyone would think Quigg would even last 12 rounds let alone beat Frampton.

I like both Quigg and Frampton, I change my mind all the time on the outcome and even though I'm leaning towards Frampton currently, I do think Quigg could last 12 rounds.

Well Steve Collins beat both Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn twice... I don't see how you can overrate that, the record speaks for itself.

Would you put Berbick above Ali?

Can't see Frampton beating the current WBC champ and may fight him in vegas on Floyd September card, GBP fighters don't often fight on away promotions. If he gets through friday night i would offer a lot more money for another Martinez fight.

Boring! Fighting Martinez again instead of Santa Cruz would make Frampton look like a chicken.

Boxing a business and i doubt Mcguigan sees any sense in going to Vegas and seeing Frampton getting stopped.

Frampton might beat Santa Cruz, become a top P4P level fighter and become a star in America. If he loses against Santa Cruz then he can still chase after Martinez and Quigg.

If he beats Martinez again, then so what he already beat him once anyway? If he loses in a rematch against Martinez then that is a much more damaging defeat than a loss to Santa Cruz.

Frampton destroys Quigg, narrowly beats Santa Cruz but loses to Rigondeaux I reckon.

Rigo is a beast, a top 5 pound-for-pound beast too for my money. Not many, if any will beat him before he retires.

I think you have it spot on there mate he will catch Quigg to cleanly from angles and hurt him.
Santa Cruz I think is a little bit similar to Quigg but bigger and stronger hav more resistance
To carls power I see framton out boxing him for 8 or 9 rounds slipping inside 3s and 4s back out again
Then tiring that's when I expect Santa Cruz to come on strong can't see him knocking Carl out but he will trouble him quite a bit I'd say. Rigo on the other hand is a different kettle of fish I think he would out box any1 at any weight at the moment may weather included

Rigo is very special. It's shame he got a relatively late start to the pro game and also he's at the weight class he is and not being the biggest guy in terms of having the ability to move up to higher weight divisions. Very special talent though. Him and Floyd would of been an amazing chess match type fight in a dream type scenario. Admittedly it probably would of been boring as hell to watch though lol.

We don’t seem to have seen the full extent of Frampton yet. He has beaten Martinez in a hard fight but the feeling is that there’s more to come. Fantastic fighter.

Just to chime in that Quigg too is a fantastic talent. I’m 50-50 on them.
