He beat Alexander well for whatever that form is worth. I think at the minimum it's getting towards where we all want Kell to be.SNG wrote:Can't argue with that. Am not sold on Kell Brook as a world level operator

Very aware. However I remember after Brook beat senchenko hearn went on record saying Brooks next fight would be against Kahn, broner or for a title. He fought Robles (who??) He should have fought Bradley and all questions would have been answered now. Its time to stop talking the talk and walk the walk. It been a long time coming. Most guys are already champion after 30 fights. If Hearn and co believe he is as good as they let on they would have let him fight Bradley.Parson Cross wrote:Like most people I have been waiting for the last 3 years for Brook to step up and prove hes world class. Instead all I have seen are an endless stream of eliminators, final eliminators and "keep busy fights" all against sub par/poor opposition.

Bradley was turned down a year before the Senchenko fight.rio wrote:Very aware. My point was he turned down a world title shot.
Re: Am not sold on Kell Brook as a world level operator
One thing that annoys me is that kell has had 32 fights and the best boxer he has faced is Lovermore Ndou!

Ffs he is the mandatory for the IBF.
A condition of the Porter v Malinaggi fight is that the winner must face Brook on or before 19/7 or be stripped.
How big a guarentee do you want ?

Less chance than zero of it happening, given that Pauli and Porter don't actually fight for another 2 weeks.

Hes been mandatory for over 2 years. That's why everyone is very skeptical.

Re: Am not sold on Kell Brook as a world level operator
It's getting boring now.
The fight between Paulie and Shawn was only approved if both fighters had a clause in their contracts that the winner face Brook on or before 19/7. The IBF are shit hot on the 90 day rule for mandatories - ask Jamie McDonnell.

Can't believe you're still biting.

How many times has he been in eliminators and mandatory positions, everyone is fed up mate! We keep getting told he is a special one but it's against nobody's.Parson Cross wrote:Ffs he is the mandatory for the IBF.

Did you tell Kell that when you got his autograph in Sheffield?billy nelson wrote:I think your spot on I'd favour all the names you've mentioned and Amir Khan to beat KellMichael bennt wrote:You have Eddie Hearn and sky sports ramming it down are throat with all this the special one poo but fact of the matter is he is a European level fighter at best and deep down brooks know it as well, he got offered a fight for the ibf title against k9 bundredge and turned it down he then turned a fight back against Bradley and he also didn't want none of Devon Alexander, I just don't see a world level fighter, plus I have heard of boxing people I highly respect that he doesn't live the life he is a party animal and has gone up in weight as high as 14 stone, other top welterweight like , mayweather, Thurman, Madina ,Bradley, Marquez, pacquiao would all knock him out and hurt him and I would also pick the underrated Shawn porter and Robert Guerrero to out point him the so called special one

If Kell can keep strong at the weight, he's a problem for all the top fighters.

How did you come to that conclusion?
Re: Am not sold on Kell Brook as a world level operator
Think kell struggles to go through the gears, also not sure how mentally strong he is.

He toughed it out against Jones. Outside the ring I think it's safe to say he could be mentally stronger, but hopefully his team are all over that.littlepug wrote:Think kell struggles to go through the gears, also not sure how mentally strong he is.

I think it comes down to the fact brook hasn't got the balls, desire or hunger to mix it with big boys and deep down he knows it that's why he turns fight against Bradley, k9 and Devon down and is happy beating up Mexican road sweepers on big cards put on by boxings newest biggest conn man Hearn

I think Porter could well be a nightmare for Brook personally.

Porter should not be a nightmare for any fighter with designs on being top level.Kilburn wrote:I think Porter could well be a nightmare for Brook personally.
