I think it was more lack of attention for the biggest fight of Groves career, with Booth spending more time with " The Boss " David Haye for the Fury fight, this was a big mistake on Booth's part, David Haye got injured and might not fight again and he lost one of the best young fighters in Groves.

No doubt it mate, any contract would have been made well before and Groves tried to get out of the contract via the board, you can't go to the board just because you are about to earn more money and no longer wish your manager to get his 25% which is standard for the industry and he had gone past £10,000 per fight a long while back, Groves claimed Booth was not giving him the attention for his world title fight, that he should have, because of the time he was spending with Haye.

In fact Booth might have been even earning less then 25%, because Groves had long gone over £10,000, so they would have negotiated new terms, because of increased purses under the board's rules, usually a lower percentage for trainer.
