I shouldn't be surprised to hear these awful jokes from a Pommy. Granate, I did participate myself, so must share in the blame.

When prepairing a coconut for my Thai red curry, I always find a cross bow spear gun works best.
My dear departed ex-wife would stand in our garden, with said coconut perched on her head. I would then take aim with my trusty cross bow..... What fun we had!
I still miss her terribly, but take comfort from the knowledge, she is now in a better place.

I was thinking more Willy Tell myself, you know, the famous Swiss archer...

...who was such a curmudgeon, his friends called him The Cross Bowman.

But to Tell the truth, William was a classic example of what it is possible to achieve if you just apple-y yourself. ;)

(Think I'll get out now, before the hail of bottles begins its descent.)

I'll wager that this is the best coconut related thread that boxrec has ever known.
Of course, at the same time, it's probably the worst coconut related thread that boxrec has ever known.

That was an interesting trip down memory lane.

I've since found out, for those that are interested, that Coconut Milk is in fact made from the flesh of the coconut. The water inside is no good for making curries.

I know a joke would have been more fun, but I don't feel like it.

But the man was not sejuiced by her charms. He was a shy, retiring man. As a youngster, he sold corn on the cob on a street pavement. Then he joined the army, where he was promoted to kernel.

He said to her now, "a word in your ear madam. You are truly a-maize-ing, and believe me when I say I'd like to cob a load of your tits, but I have to say...who's the melon who dug up this up again?"

Trying to palm such an old thread off on the BoxRec youngsters as new - it's just nuts, I tell you.

Although I must admit that all this talk of tropical fruits and lovely south-seas island ladies is making me feel rather melon-choly. Where can a mango to escape the I-wish-I-were-in-Tahiti blues, I ask you. Were my old friend, captain William "Breadfruit" Bligh still around, things would be different, but alas, I fear old Bill hath done reefed his last sail and left the rest of us in the lee lurch, rudderlessly adrift ina sea of pa-payanful reminiscences..
