The only person I've met here is Ian McNeilly whom I met at the seond Woods v Johnson fight. Oh I met Joh Shepherd once very briefly at a Steve Roberts fight he was promoting.
I've been coming here since november last year, but have been using boxrec since it started, and used to write for boxing central.
Is there anything wrong with people being pally. What a goddam Cynic you are!
Having said that, It would be good to put names to faces before planning any sort of trip, it's amazing what fun someone can seem via email/forums, then you meet them and hate them instantly.

A big fight in Vegas with plenty of Brits knocking around is special. Let's do it.

I'll be up for it aswell, but not without meeting you guys first. I've watched way too many movies to jet out to the U.S with total strangers. Kalifornia springs to mind.
It might be nice to meet some of the members from across the pond while we're over there. I'd love to meet Kovit, i deem him to be a right larff.
Fingers crossed for the fight to be Cotto vs Mayweather. But i suppose at a push i'd settle for the kind of thing that mighty warrior was talking about.

Funnily enough I posted about Vegas on ESB a couple of days ago, as I was considering going to the Hopkins/De La Hoya card. Like many others on here, it's always been my dream to go to see a big title fight there and I've never been in a position to do so (financially) until now.
However, in terms of June 5 it was reaching the point where I'd have to go by myself so I'd far prefer to wait and go over with a big group of like-minded people rather than as a 'Billy No Mates'!
If everyone's serious about it, where do we go from here? Is someone going to organise it?

Whoops Kev, I forgot that you were on here, I always think of you as being on britboxing.net.

From this forum I've met Kilburn, Hardhitters, Goz, knockout artist, John Shep, chief and Eddie Shredder - when we had a drink up last year.
Also I know bennie from years back.
I used to post on secondsout, and I remember President whatisname too. Used to go on a bout the next African heavyweight hope, and how he was going to kick ass in his next fight, offering bets to everyone.
Then when the guy got sparked he'd dissapear for a few weeks.
Like I say, if we organise a Vegas trip next year I'll be up for it - nothing involving De La Hoya preferably! Don't think he'll ever fight Hopkins ( unless Bernard gets run over by a truck or something )
Morales, Pac man, Maywether, Cotto, Barrera, Corrales, Freitas - a super fight involving one of this lot would be great.
And Cinco De Mayo would be a huge event to go to ( assuming there's a big fight, which there usualy is ).

The amount of Latino lovlies in Vegas around Cinco de Mayo has to be seen to be believed.
If there is a better place on Earth than the beach at the Hard Rock (where incidentally I will be in exactly two weeks) I have yet to find it.

Mmmmmmmmmm, the thought of grinding up some Latin Booty, now there's something I could handle. Cinco de Mayo, here I come.
Let's set that date aside, it's almost a year away, it gives everyone plenty of notice that's for sure, and plenty of time for everyone to save.

The first thing i'd ask Kovit is how tall is Mate Parlov?
