There's a chance Khan could find his form of old. But as the saying goes; "you're only as good as your last fight".
He is still young, even though it appears that he has been around a long time, 3 years is not a long time at that level, only 4 fights since, he has won two of them and many thought he beat Peterson, he did not look good against Mccloskey, then in his next fight was excellent against Judah, he blows hot and cold sometimes, it's about motivation and I think he will be motivated for this, if does not beat Collazo, there will be no where to go.
Tell that to Audley Harrison. This is the fight game although Khans credibility will be damaged even further by a loss, if he wants to carry on someone will promote him because he comes with the ability to generate money.
I hope he wins, I know he gets a lot of stick on these boards, but the guy comes to fight, is brave as they come and is 100% entertaining.

He sure does and he sure is, too much sometimes, to his own detriment, I would rather watch him then some others and I think he will win this well. YES HE CAN.

any guy who is the same size as khan and not too past it can have khan in trouble. collazo is not anywhere near the best welter in the world, but he has a decent pedigree. khan has nothing at welter , hasnt fought and beat a top contender for years, and has the ring IQ of a novice. i would feel much safer putting my money on curtis woodhouse to beat collazo than i would khan. khan to look good for about two rounds...then get smashed to pieces

You can always guarantee that someone will produce a ridiculous Khan hating comment, when his name is mentioned, even more then one, without question.

Really suprised at how convinced people are with this.
I'll admit I'm on the fence with this one

I've not seen jim as a hater of Khan - he is dubious about Amirs chin.
I think Khan will win on points in a good fight.

I've put £5 on Collazo to win in Rounds 1-6 at 9-1, and £5 on Collazo to win in Rounds 7-12 also at 9-1. Not a big bet, and I hope that I am wrong as I like Khan (he will go in with anyone and fight his heart out), but I get nervous for him in every fight. I still think this was a bad fight to take.

by the way, when judah fought mayweather , he was 28 in his prime. when he fought khan , it was almost 6 years later, and had some heavy mileage on him. and again...you can say khan has won world titles since prescott exposed him, but he has never fought and beat anywhere near the best in the division....just to keep things in perspective.

I get nervous when Khan fights but I don't see Collazo as a top welter - Ortiz is a part time boxer and a part time actor who has bailed out a couple of times; he's a good scalp for Luis but does not mean he's a destroyer. I think Khan has the speed and power to put a dent in Collazo.

just to balance up comments like yours.
you like to make out that youre a smart guy.....a smart guy would not show such confidence in as flawed a fighter as khan has continually proven himself to be.
im not a hater . i love boxing, and respect all fighters....but im not having greedy bastard promoters and tv people tell me that the likes of audley harrison and amir khan are world beaters. you might believe that crap , but i certainly dont.

Yes but Judah had come back in form and won a world title, since then he has pushed Garcia hard, coming back strong in the later rounds, a while after losing badly to Khan, Malinaggi came back to win a world title after Khan beat him up, his worst beating in his career at the time, it was lucky shot Garcia caught him with, a wild swing, when Khan was in control and he really beat Peterson, that was a hometown decision, the Judah fight was unification fight, two world champions and Malinaggi was top notch in the division and I suppose Maidana was not one of the top in the division? he has since beat Billion Dollar superstar and self proclaimed living legend Adrian Broner, people need to get their heads out of the sand, Khan has done great, not the best chin, but he does keep getting up, even the ref held him down against Prescott, sometimes he gets up to quickly. Smart guy ? No, just not stupid and ignorant, every fighter has a flaws, some more then others, Khan has much more assets to his game then flaws, otherwise my friend, he would have been a world champion, don't let cloud it your judgement, by the way, I am not a Khan fan, just honest in my opinion of fighters.

Who said Audley Harrison is a world beater, Khan has been a world beater multiple times, you need to figure out when you are going down the wrong path and change direction, before you end up totally lost.

Anzi a 'smart guy'? Not judging by the bizarre broken English he posts in. His Khan/Judah analogy is about as safe as saying Berbick can't beat Ali because Ali beat Foreman. Place his baffling and disturbed rants on 'block'.

Clever match making!
I agree with you as Collazo is slow and past it I'm afraid. Yes he dispatched Ortiz and fair play to him for that but I feel that's his pinnacle and not more to come.
Khan to win quite handidly and then sit back for for the 'Khan still ain't anything as Luis was past it anyway' threads to follow.

the Idiot is back, on the attack, rattatatat. It's called speed typing, you have been typing and correcting since his comment was made, did not know it was an English test, thought it was about boxing, typical nothing to debate.

I think people are being harsh on Khan a tad - hasn't beaten anyone "near" the top.... Judah might have been past it but he did give Matthysse a close fight (even if you think he lost)... and Maidana, surely we must say he was "close" to the top.
I'm not sure how we can say a genuine two belt holder (e.g. beat the fighters in the ring, not awarded something) didn't beat fighter "near" the top.
Who could Khan have fought around the time of the Peterson/Garcia fight that was closer to the top that he avoided?
I think Judah was a hell of a lot closer to the #1 at Light Welter at the time of the fight than Collazo is at Welter currently.

Is Collazo really only 33? Was he really only 25 when he fought Hatton?

By the way not to reign on you parade, but Berbeck did beat Ali.

Did you go with Paddy mate? Just curious as they are the only ones with round group odds out and Collazo 7-12 is 11/1. That's an exciting price.... I'm just worried Khan might get starched closer to the round 6 mark.

The thing to consider....
Did Ortiz really look hurt enough NOT to have continued?
He diesnt like being hit, thought it was going to be an easy night, and left the building at the first sign of trouble.... something Amir certainly wont do.
AK is up there with Carl Froch in terms of excitement he has provided in his career. he's a mouthy little twerp but put him in a ring and he provides the goods.

The only top notch he did not face in his division was Bradley, because Bradley would not fight him and instead moved up to be a welter.

I don't think Bradley would have said no outright, i mean AK, Tim & Alexander were almost neck and neck between top dog at that point and bradley had no trouble going in with DA.
