It's getting boring from both sides now. Hard to really take to either man at the moment. Roll on the 31st as we won't have to hear all the same stuff and Johnny and Adam getting giddy over things like 'mind games' etc.
I've noticed that for a while, he also speaks funny too, I'm sure its been like that since the fight.

Froch was persistant in his twitching, clinching knucles, grinding of teeth, camera was on him, nervous smile. What did GG say that was lies? Froch avoided the question regarding what McCracken said. He made a joke out his trainers lack of faith. GG played it clever by reinforcing that hes faster, better movement and tried to downplay froch skills and get inside his head , did it work, to me it looked like it worked. GG should have played it cool at the end but he lost it a bit. He doesnt always need a reaction. A personality doesnt change, he can say hes calm etc but he genuinly dislikes GG whereas i dont see it reversed. GG in it for the buisness and the money and proved at end of first fight its not personel. He looks to sell it .

Gomez's opinion is less than worthless. He comes on here saying he wasn't wound up. Would he ever say he was anyway, even if he had been having Sunday dinner and Carl was punching walls? Doesn't mean he is wound up, just that Gomez would never say he was
Oh dear, where did I say "Froch isn't wound up" ?

Groves is a broken record now. He was getting agitated, rude and lost his composure - just like his fans.

I don't know how anyone thinks Froch was comfortable in there. He controlled his answers and his responses well but he will have been programmed to do that, but his body language said it all, the nervous movement, the on cue smile after certain Groves comments, the swallowing etc. He did well to hold it together but Groves is still getting under his skin.

I'm enjoying it, it's great theatre.

I thought Groves came across quite well - yes it was the same routine but it seemed to work again and he was more articulate than Froch in every answer. I'm not sure where the annoyance towards Groves performance comes from, if anything Froch came across as bitter and tetchy - the forced smiles as well as the bad tempered answers towards the interviewers and the live audience.

A previous poster mentioned Froch looking smaller than Groves, I noticed that too. Not sure if Groves still has a significant amount of weight to lose or if Froch is just bang on the weight at the moment, hard to tell.

By the way, I was surprised that Groves was wearing a decent suit for a change, he could lose the fake tan though, I thought my laptop was on the blink when the show started :)

Do people not understand that its possible froch looks uncomfortable because he's just not great on camera and not because hes scared of George!? As someone previously mentioned, froch looked worse than that on the Jonathan Ross show! He's just more of an old school kind of guy. Groves however I keep changing my mind on, sometimes he comes across confident and smart and other times he comes off petulant. Jamie M mentioned Froch ducking the McCracken question, he may not have answered it but he actually made George look a little stupid in that moment with the are you asking me or telling me response. All in all Froch came across better in my opinion.

Groves comes across as an annoying little shit in my opinion, with little charisma to make it enjoyable to watch.

Would be happy to see Froch win it and either fight someone else or retire

Groves act is so tired and boring, he's just an irritating smart arse and let's face it - no-one likes a smart arse!

With his cheap poor-man's psycho-analysis of Froch it's just turgid, like an annoying little wasp you want to just swat away. Froch doing the best thing, Groves needs a response to provide him with fuel, the way Froch ignored it tonight Groves ended up looking like a daft prat talking to himself.

Can't agree with that, I thought the suit was still a pretty poor attempt, insipid silvery grey number, he looks like he's been dressed by his mum.

I've noticed Froch speak slightly different since I think it might have been Andre Ward fight or Kessler II, he bust his eardrum in one of those fights. That can cause a certain amount of hearing loss which can change speech a little, could be that?

I thought Froch sounded very nasal tonight like he had either a mild cold or he's been hit on the beak too much in sparring.

George looks gormless when Anthony Ogogo is being interviewed, very "I r simple". Froch always looks like he just doesn't want to be there...interesting that Froch looks annoyed being there and Groves just looks like a complete tit...

Merrick was not ginger, records have shown he was strawberry blonde.

He would also never have done those awful shirt collars that Groves was wearing.

A bit more respect for Merrick is in order here.

Groves is favourite for the fight in my opinion and I do thing Froch is very wary of him. However if this goes deep in the tenches I can see Froch going down, looking at Rob, having a little composure and getting up and stopping him in the last round. What more do you want.

Can't wait for this now.

That's a bit over the top! He's just not as smooth of a talker as Groves is. He's not comfortable on camera, I think people are reading too much into it.

I'm finding Groves, and his trainer, incredibly irritating. You've got the fight, and it has sold out. So shut up and just get on with the training. Doesn't need any more hype or crap. I can't even be arsed watching the build up because of Groves.

I think he does dye his hair as normally he's got the greying sides going on.

Sadly I think he will win the fight, but I´d really like to see him take a proper shallacking to shut his mouth up afterwards. Seems to rub a lot of people up the wrong way.

When Dyer appeared again, doing his "Muvva Braaaaarn" impression I was reminded of why I moved abroad.
A southern thing? What's that supposed to mean? :-?

Carl is happy boxing in the ring and isn't a tv peronaility, that's it really.
George is good at both so that's the real weakness he is exposing of Carl.

I recognise Carl's drained looking face and awkwardness as I used to look like that at work.
A couple of years and 100's of presentations down the line I'm ok with it all now.

It's just a simple mix of embarrasment and a lack of personailty as far as I can see with Carl.
I've seen him at weigh-ins where he looks nervy, timid even but he nearly always comes through.

I wouldn't necessarily call it lack of personality but I do see where you're coming from. I think it's more lack of on-screen presence. He seems to be a popular character with other pros and boxing pundits. I just don't think it comes across well on screen.
