...did anyone expect it to be anything BUT a mismatch? Ryo Akaho, Japanese Super Flyweight, beat the snot out of Mundraby:

Mundraby down in round 1, 3, & twice in 5th. Also suffered broken jaw in two places

Sure Galahad isn't a puncher like Ryo but Ryo is, again,a SUPER FLYWEIGHT and Galahad is a SUPER BANTAMWEIGHT. Awful stuff from the Commonwealth people!

Another useless opponent. Tonight has been full of one sided fights.

Galahad needs to fight someone a level or two higher.

Channel 5 just took a nice 3 minute ad break there in the middle of Hughie Fury/ Danny Hughes...very professional. As it turns out it's going out delayed as they picked it right up where it left off despite a much longer than 1 minute break.
Bit of a chess match really, nobody wants to get clocked. Glad to see the Mackem Hughes isn't rolling over.
This is the most I've ever seen of Hughie, personally I don't like how low he holds his left hand and he's not especially slick either, but he's only 19.

Very tepid affair by Fury tonight

Sadly Hughie isn't a good watch. I had high hopes but I no longer think he'll deliver.

yes, that was quite annoying when they took that long break. I went online and found out the result and stopped watching.

I only picked up the broadcast halfway through - you know I don't like to watch fights! :P .....fights like this routinely go out either before or after the main event, so the viewer who is following the fight with regular 30 second ad breaks between rounds has no way of knowing that what they are watching is recorded - then boom, they hit you with a full 3 minute ad break! I expected them to come back and say while you were away so and so got knocked out.....and then I thought they must have skipped an entire 3 minutes of boxing.
It was still interesting as there was potential for action........but in the end, that's all it was, potential.

Hughie seems like a lovely fella. Very self-depracating really, says it's all up to his Dad etc...I sense that he isn't comfortable in front of the cameras and doesn't like the limelight, not a bad thing. The commentator said he likes to watch tapes of Hagler and other old pros. I think if he worked on his cardio and conditioning a bit more and brought his hands back to his chin, rather than letting them hand low, he could improve. Still a very young man in fairness.

Hughie Fury definitely lands a good kidney punch for a 19 year old, didn't see any of his rights to the boddy actually land on the official point scoring area.

I thought he'd broken his hand at one point. He banged Hughes right on the hip bone and it made a not very nice noise. I don't know whether it's true but I've read that fighters have been known to deliberately catch body shots on their elbows to hurt their opponent. Doesn't sound a great idea to me.

Galahad isn't ranked in the Top 15 of any of the governing bodies. So talk of World title fights is pointless until he gets into there.

Hope for a significnt step up next but I'm unsure Henessey can take him to the next level due to Matchrooms near monopoly in British boxing.

Thats a shame as he seems to be a good bloke and has done well with Galahad so far.

Don't know whether they do it to hurt the opponent, doubtful about it, but how else are they supposed to stop the body shot, can't slip them, can't use the hands to block them because it would completely expose the chin, so blocking them with the elbows is the only way possible.

I was suprised as the EBU champ is generally in or around the top 10.

Then again the guy he beat for the title was pretty poor. Not his fault as European level wasn't pakced with fighters available.

Not sure how he would move up in the rankings anyway knocking over smaller boxers like he did Saturday. Would Mundraby have lasted a round with Quigg or Frampton?

Galahad put in a fair performance and could do no more than beat the guy in front of him.

I don't see why there is such a rush to move Galahad on to world class, he coming on nicely and building up his reputation with every fight on channel 5.

Hughie Fury handled going the 8 rounds for first time really well, plus his first 'live' opponent.

Both were in terribly boring fights though. The audience was virtually mute.

There was a brilliant atmosphere for Galahad's fight.

You say there is no rush for Galahad to move up but by constantly calling out Quigg & Frampton it seems like he wants to move up even if you dont.
