I admit I'll miss reading his gibberish. It did irritate me a bit, but only enough to make it interesting. Sounds like he earned his ban fair and square, though.

But Duce got far more abuse his way than he gave back. I never read anything racist.
I occasionally skimmed the threads for amusement. Liked to read everyone getting all worked up about him.
When he first came on I thought he was just offering an alternative world of boxing that he ran like a boxing god via Title Bout.
I think BoxBuzz handled it correctly. People spout all kinds of nonsense and double standards on here. Duce just made a career out of it...
I can agree with nearly all of this. I have not read all of his threads, but I don't remember seeing anything that had a racial agenda in the posts I did read.
Of course he disliked Ali, but I never read anything racial into it. I always thought his major problem with Ali was over the Vietnam draft issue, but I could be mistaken.
I also think he was generally polite towards the other posters. It is true that he did receive far more abuse than he handed out.
I'll miss him. He could come up with some funny stuff + he knew quite a bit about my favorite boxing era.

A bit of his information was accurate here on the forum......I found Waldo a time or two within his constructs.
Otherwise much, and I mean the lion's share or close to the lions share was either fictionalized or theorized by the Ducer.
His opinions were never the issue on this forum. Regardless of how off beat they might have seemed.
Unknown to me, he had entered the world of facts......our database valued for it's objective and precise info.
That is a well that is not allowed to be tampered with and once discovered, he was liquidated.
This forum will allow for opinions and yarns, but the database is off limits regarding anything other than empirical info.

If you 'rarely read his posts' how do you know then that he doesn't deserve banning?? He has ridiculed, made awful accusations against fighters and been putting the forum into a risk zone by making libelous claims about living people...that is probably another reason for this eviction. ..
Are you telling me he veered from his original posting style? If so, my bad. If not, then I stopped reading what didn't interest me. And i already said he deserved it after an explanation was given. Just not for all of the whining people like you have perpetually done for ages.
I never saw anything racist or even rude. Just wrong, and that would extinguish all of us.

I had read a lot about Sonny Liston, Leotis Martin and Thad Spencer before even he started his threads on them.
Maybe Il Duce did have some unpublished info about them.
I know Motown records producer Berry Gordy purchased some boxer's unpublished memoirs(like Lorenzo Pack's),
mostly to help them out finacially I guess.
As far as an agenda.Do opinions here count as ' agendas' now on?
I was thinking maybe a moderator here will have the courtesy to tell us why
his posts are gone.
Maybe he deleted them all himself?
The only thing"offensive' I can think of was when maybe
when he asked another poster if his mother was finished mwashing his dirty socks.
That was kind of funny to me.
"Do opinions here count as agendas now on?" SRR
Yes, you are clearly a "racist", "creepy goon", and "repulsive cretin" if you are not a fawning fan of the "Greatest".

He was right to go now we hear what he actually did. However, he will be missed in a funny way if nothing else because he caused such a rumpus

I didn't mind him and found lots of his stuff interesting; if he's made up a whole raft of things he must have a good imagination and too much time on his hands.

OK...two of us have now explained the "why" within this thread.
And yet...the question keeps getting asked.
I promise the answer won't be changing.

Yeah he never had any actual Boxing knowledge on anything really.

That's hilarious.
It was explained in words of no more than two syllables, yet some still can't understand what was said.
That's probably why they thought Il Dunce was the messiah.

His wisdom does live on in the form of those who chose to quote him in there responses.

To further clarify.....everything he put in the data base was either wrong....or could not be verified by any other source in the known universe.
To some, this may leave hope that he was indeed correct.
Also....the best game he played (in my opinion) was how he interlaced truth with fiction. (Within his forum contributions)
Seriously, did no one else notice his love of this particular technique of writing?

I am not in the least surprised.
His threads were repetitive. His threads were taking over the forum.
And worst of all, his stories, information, etc. was unsobstantiated.
He couldn't in the least bit prove a single thing he ever talked about, in his condemnations of Ali.
While, I'm not against criticizing/critiquing Ali, as I have done so numerous times, but Duce leant no credability to the forum--- and all the truly knowledgeable people who have studied this sport from top to bottom, knows he was full of it.
The fact that he duped BoxRec record keepers, with his lies, is just unforgivable.
While boxing fiction does hold a place, it isn't here.

Someone here had asked him a few weeks ago, whom his favorite boxers were,
I cant remember all five, but Larry Holmes
was at the top of his list.
Leotis Martin was also on there somewhere.
Il Duce could be african american...? African americans can be racist too cant they??

Yes, of course the "truth with fiction" style was noticed.
Others may refer to it as taking "artistic license."
That helped make some of his stuff hilarious.
He did bring up some names and information from my favorite '60s and '70s era that I had either forgot about or never knew.
On one of the threads (the Leotis thread, I think), I believe I asked the name of a fighter in a photo standing next to two famous fighters. He identified the name right away and I checked it out in the record section and sure enough he was right.
He did know more than what some people are saying, imo.

Funniest thing there is Klompton has allegedly been banned from many boards. Heard that from many people, not surprising, because Steve is a complete cock.
