Yeah, I would imagine Gomez has nailed this one. The alternative I thought of was maybe a very surprise shot for Liam Smith. IBF title situation at Light Middle is a bit of a mess, Smith has a decent ranking and a nice carrot to maybe get the four brothers aligned to one promoter. I know Liam signed a contract, but are contracts worth the pen they are written on these days.

I'd be suprised at Abarahm travelling but without it being Kell Brook I can't see who else it is.

It's not the IBF title and it's in the uk. That rules out Brook and Paul Smith and Quigg v LSC.mI think it could be Crolla v Abril in Manchester

I know Hasegawa DID say he was willing to fight Rigondeaux though I assume the Martinez fight was easier to make from his side. Rigondeaux Vs Hasegawa would have been pretty decent.

I enjoyed watching Hasegawa against Martinez. It was my first real time watching him. I know you said he's kind of shot now but I think he still looked pretty good at times in that fight. He still looked fast to me. It was only really when he got involved in exchanges, particularily on the ropes that he ended up a cropper.

He had a lovely style did Hasegawa but he gets in with real punchers & then ships the big one. Never quite defensively adroit enough to get away with doing his thing versus a prime power-puncher, I think, though if you couldn't bang he'd carve you up. Although he beat him twice I always thought a younger, less battle-worn Veeraphol Whateverhissurnamewasthatweek would've done him.

It makes me laugh. Hearn always says these are boxers that will fight anyone they don't think about avoiding someone... Then constantly ignores Rigondeux questions

He doesn't ignore the questions, he said Rigo would beat Quigg. He is pretty open about Rigondeaux, or more the reasons why he won't go near him.

He also says he will be willing to face him if Quigg unifies. To my mind that's fair enough. Ironically I don't see too many people slating Leo Santa Cruz for not mentioning Rigo even tho they rate LSC above Quigg.
