Holdsworths card is way off I think. Harris is landing by far the harder shots. Urkals slapping a lot as well. I think Harris is in control of the fight and hasn't looked that troubled.

Steve missed the low blow that cost Harris a point even when they showed it in slow motion.

I don't for the life of me understand some of those scorecards. Urkal wants it bad but he's took some bombs and missed a lot in his combos.

7 points by Holdsworths card. I don't believe he was watching the fight though. A good example of it I thought was the 11th which I thought was clearly Harris's round. Holdsworth just said "Yeah, I think Ill give that to Urkal".

Holdsworth also had Casamayor beating Corrales by an absolute landslide which was silly I thought.

He then said it was a draw, despite the fact the MC had announced a split decision to start with. Bad night for Steve Holdsworth.
But, as the Americans say, you gotta love him.

I agree with you guys, after round 3 I had Harris 4 points up! Holdsworth was giving everything to Urkal, any time there was an exchange he would credit Urkal. Very strange.

Hatton will never fight Harris, absolutely no chance. I think Harris would have a great chance of blowing Ricky out. I don't think Ricky could take some of those big right hands right down the pipe.

i thought urkal won it by 2 but it was a very close fight i wouldn't argue with other interpretations cos it was so very close but 7 pts i would bloody argue with.

as for hatton-harris bring him on he looks a decent counter puncher but he got more ragged as it went on and he didn't like a hot tempo when urkal was stepping it up.

bring him over hatton can take him he'll just outwork him.

Harris looked very dangerous the first 5 rounds. He looked less after that but still pretty dangerous. Hattons gone I think if he gets hit with one of those bombs. Also remember Rickys less mobile than Urkal and a lot shorter than Harris. Ricky would have a nightmare with his jab and big right hand.

Urkal by 4, clear win although I do think Steve of a bit out especially in the begining. Clearly wasn't a good night. I was stunned when Steve said he didn't like Mayweather as a boxer I thought "Steve, don't you know what an exceptional fighter looks like".

Cotto beats Mayweather 8 days a week, I'm not so sure of that one.

Steve if you are reading, please do not use the boxrec rankings again (no disrespect) but come on Floyd Mayweather at 1, Hatton at 2.

This is the best I could find but I'm sure when Urkal pulls some of those faces like he did more often against Magee there was more than a faint resembalance to the ugliest football player that the scum ever turned out....

Only saw the first 2 rounds but Harris looked the dogs to me, a far far superior fighter to anyone Hatton has faced to date. The Cotto match is going to be a sizzler.

I support Hatton, in much that same way I support my football team. It means that I have watched him and have a certain amount of faith and respect. I have not seen anything in his performances that suggests he could not beat the top guys, I think he can be them all. It is not all about who you have fought, sometimes you have to look at technique and skills too, even if they have not faced the best. I feel that Hatton's flurry of punches to head and body could overwhelm most fighters out there, he is not the hardest puncher, but it is the volume that stops good fighters.
So bring on Harris he will be stopped.
Hell, bring on Tszyu, Mitchell, Cotto, Mayweather there is not reason Hatton cant beat them all. Just because his promoter has not secured him the fights doesn't mean he isn't as good as well all thought he was a couple of years ago.
Also it is nice to have a fighter that doesn't talk shit, he knows he is good, but doesn't rub your face in it, the man is an abassador, or would be if he was more of a poster boy.
Sometimes you have to support and have faith, not just moan.

Ok, we can talk about skills all day, he can beat him, he can't beat him and so forth.

But when you mention Tszyu, Mitchell, Cotto, Mayweather and Harris, you are mentioning guys who have stepped to the plate time and time again.
It is only then you can judge skills, talent,heart and the whole package.
You say ". It is not all about who you have fought"...but unfortunately it IS about who you have fought...It is how a fighter is judged and remembered. That is fundamental.

People have labelled me a stern critic of Hatton, which is true...What is also true is that I wholeheartedly wish Richard Hatton all the luck in the world with his career, and hope he is successful.
I think he can be.
