Porter is a good fighter but let's not weight Brook off, he's in there to win; it'll take more than he's shown yet but there are fighters who throw the form book aside every week in this sport.

Good fight this. Hopefully finally get to see how good Brook is or not . Think he'll have to stop him over there though they have big fights lined up for Porter. Be interesting to see the odds

Finally the kind of fight Brook should be having. Now we'll find out how good he truly is, good luck to him.

With the fight being in New York it will be nice to hear an MC who announces Kell Brook's name correctly.

I will have my fingers crossed for the next 2 months given the luck Kell's had previously.
This fight is a 50/50 in my eyes.
Based on the fact Porters been in with better people well bigger names (though not anyone I don't think Kell could deal with) he will be favourite in most peoples opinion.
And its over there which is fair but stacks the odds a bit more.
I think Kell is the better boxer has better timing and more power at range.
Shawn is very lively looks cruder than he actually is but has power and is difficult to keep where you want him.
His also fond of using his head and doing whatever he needs to or can get away with when he does get on the inside.
Kell will need to be in peak condition and fully switched on I believe he will be a different animal on the night from anything we've seen from him previously.
If Porter does that bouncing in and out rushing in throwing hooks which is basically all i've really seen him do I think he will find spearing jabs landing cleanly and accurately.
Which if kept up will frustrate him and lead to more openings.
I don't think this is a fight Porter wants or feels he needs to have but is having to have and that's probably fair from his point of view.
I think Kell is very capable of winning this title from Porter and in a fan friendly style.
I would really hope that British boxing fans and my fellow posters will give Kell the benefit of any doubts they may have rightly or wrongly and get behind him.
He might just surprise you :TU:
I fuc kin hope he does :KO:

I can envisage a load of shit from Porter fans coming as the fight builds.
I hope Froch and Hearn will help sell the fight to a portion of the wider public off the back of Wembley.
Matchroom's not had this much media attention for years if ever and I hope fast car spreads the wealth a bit.
If he really is keen to make Khan Brook down the line it makes sense to start the ball rolling.

I want to badly .
I've just booked a week in cape verde at the end of this month so might be a hard sell getting more time off work unless I can convince my boss to go.
Wont be booking till late if I can go can be a costly affair if heaven forbid history repeats.
You going mate?

Your second scenario is how I also see it going, if it doesn't go like the first scenario :D
It was well published how badly he prepared for that fight, he wouldn't be dumb enough to take this lightly and not be 100% prepared.

Few bookies have released odds . Porter 1/2 and Brook 2/1. Close fight

Only after he's been beaten by FMJ, he wont want to risk that opportunity yet.
Porter hasn't faced a big hard hitting natural WW yet, Alexander fought the wrong fight, Paulie is just too small and doesn't hit hard enough, I don't think I saw the Diaz fights but the Canadian guy was useless with a padded record. The more I think about it the more I like Kell's chances, i'm not saying its going to be an easy nights work but if his head is right and he fights out of his skin then I give him a real chance.

How on earth can you give kell more of a chance based on porters opposition when it's been ten times better than brooks.

Until he got the shot at Alexander, Porter's opposition was also questionable, with his best opponent being Julio Diaz.

Alexander & Malignaggi are good scalps (especially Alexander) but let's not write off Brook on the basis of his opposition.

I cannot wait for this fight - trying to raise funds to go out to this.

£1040 for flights and hotel from Manchester - New York via Amsterdam and stopping in a decent hotel on 7th Avenue near times sqaure where I ended up stopping after the Alexander fight fell through.

Fight tickets are around £150-£200 for ringside.

Think its Danny Garcia headlining at the Barclays Centre against Lamont Peterson unified title fight

Now that's value! How much was Froch-Groves ringside? £500? £1000?
