I was at both too and they were pretty full once in the arena I just remember they werent sold out completely. Sure was a slightly different set up for the Pascal fight around 8k.

Doubtful, Wiki lists the total capacity of the arena as 10k, now don't forget that would be for standing concerts. Boxing would be less, and as I said I remember the day before the fight there still being tickets on sale hence me struggling to get rid of the spare I had.

I was at every Froch world title fight in Nottingham and its a myth the whole City comes out for him. Hes only really moved into being a ticket seller now hes (and more his fights) are a national thing.

Saying that it was still an unreal atmposphere! I miss watching Froch in that arena before all the idiots jumped onboard.

They were still advertising that some tickets were left available on the day of the fight, they might have been snapped up on the door, I can't remember if it was set up for 9 or 10k, got a feeling it might have been 9,000, but at full capacity the arena only just clears 10,000.

Just heard from a reliable source that less than 5000 tickets sold for this fight.

I seen someone post a link about the prices of this show and I can't believe how high they where.

Why not sell the tickets half price and get a packed stadium.

I assumed that would be why a ticket seller like Saunders has been added.

I'm shocked this hasn't sold well but boxing shows very rarely pack out huge Arenas unless it's a huge event.

The Metro arena had less than 3k in for Hall v Butler at the weekend. A similar number attended the recent Wednesday night show in Leeds.

Quigg v Munyai was another one that underperformed.

With exception of Groves/Froch 2, Frampton's last fight, and Burns/Crawford, what other arena shows have been complete sellouts this year?

It hasn't sold because it doesn't have Sky behind it. The Sky machine could sell out Colombo v expe. In reality, who, apart from us, has BN or watches Kugie?

Its not a fight people particularily care about either though. They saw how the first one went and the return is just not particularily appealing.

Haha you been on the ales again? Na the fight that only you, a few travellers and their dog care about.

It's a good fight.

Chisora - Haye was a big fight and Haye-Fury was heavily promoted.

Off the back of that both fighters have decent "name" value.

If it gets a big promotional push throughout Greater Manchester closer to fight time, it could sell well.

Haye-Fury is an interesting fight though. Chisora is basically a world level journeyman these days who whilst a good fighter is just a gatekeeper. Albeit one that Fury has already beaten.

I actually saw an advertising board at the England-Honduras game on Saturday, that was for Fury-Chisora, it was at the same ground so I'm guessing it was there for the other friendly in Miami as well. It didn't get shown that often because it was a little bit back from the pitch but I'm sure plenty of people saw it and that was live on ITV, so they're already trying to promote the fight.

I reckon next time Warrington fights that crowd be over 5k.

For anyone buying tickets, I'd get there early, 16 fights already on the schedule and Bradley Saunders hasn't been added yet, so that's 17, going to be a long night.

One of the best bills around. Some quality fights on it.

i'd like to go to it but the tickets are really expensive i've paid £53 for 1st tier seats at a HW world title fight before. These tickets start at £57 for top tier.

I fancy going, the undercard how its listed at the minute is a top undercard.

The only thing thats putting me off is the fact that even the "cheap" (heard MEN isn't the best for the view) seats are fairly pricey.

Don't wanna pay £60 and see fornicate all.

To be fair the MEN is alright for viewing positions but id expect the cheap seats to be £40.
