Chisora is as good as Thompson in this thread merely to reinforce an argument made by a huge Fury fan.

In reality Thompson would beat Del Boy by 3 or 4 rounds if they fought.

I think Thompson would be way to skilled for Del. Thompson is a very solid pro.

No didnt watch it, Takam is better than Del Boy anyway. I've watched Del Boy since he turned over and even before then too, he is bang average. He doesn't set any sort of pace, doesn't hit hard enough and doesn't have the nous to beat Thomoson providing the Tiger is coming with ambition.

You are so blinded by your extremely strange crush on anything Fury related that it blinds you.

You are blinded by hatred.

Chisora would beat Thompson in my and most people's opinions.

Hatred for who exactly?

I like Del Boy, I like Thompson and I like Fury more than both of them! Nutter

Horse, are you are assuming that Chisora is better, because he is ranked higher?

You are a cranky bastard Horse, I'll give you that. I like Tyson, I think he is entertaining, has talent, is tough as old boots and is game as they come. I think if it were up to him he would fight anyone.
Just because I also think he doesn't posses the greatest chin in the world, is too easy to hit and isn't the next great heavyweight doesn't mean I hate him. Its just opinion based on observations I've made.

I also think Tyson is a nice bloke away from the silliness of fight promoting. From what I've seen of course. I don't know him personally.

Liking someone doesn't mean blindly supporting them and refusing to criticise. I actually should have said his handlers bottled the Price fight before, which they did for whatever reason.

Price is another fighter I like but he has his flaws. Chin, stamina, awful jab considering his physical tools being a few.

I don't hate many if any fighters come to think of it.

QFT

The Tyson hype on here is just getting silly, the very thought of him being in a No.1 Contenders match is just a mockery.

His only wins of note are an overblown cruiser who dropped him, Johnson who has done very little & Chisora who was clearly unmotivated & will be correcting his mistake next month.

Price v Fury would just be RockemSockem robots until the first chin gives in. Both have the power to make it entertaining enough, hopefully we get a double KO & the hype can be over.

Both Fury and Chisora are top 10 world ranked heavyweights. This fight is a very good final eliminator.

Tyson doesn't have enough seasoning to win the world title if he wins v Chisora. The bout between Tyson and Chisora is a good one mostly due to improvements by Chisora.

Price v Fury would be a very good fight for the viewers, if Price landed flush then Tyson would hit the deck, if Fury boxed smart he'd wear Price down and stop him.

Thompson said he'd like to box Fury, that would be a good fight as well.

Thompson just got beaten clearly by Takam though. That spoils the fight a bit, although it would still be a worthwhile fight for Fury.

I saw the result in Boxing News but didn't watch it, I was thinking that just coping with the tricks and ability of Thompson would do him good and would also show he really meant business, if Tyson cleans up a few good contenders then he'll have proved he deserves a shot rather than it seeming he's taken an easy route.

I reckon he'll do well at the top level but won't win them all. He'll make some noise and earn some big purses, he's an exciting fighter.

I would rather see thompson against eddie chambers. Price has to knock Fury out in the first 2 round to stand a chance of winning, i can only see Fury staying away for 3 rounds then applying the pressure and stopping Price mid rounds.

For one thing there's only a few fighters I can even think of that were that tall. None of them were big punchers for their size, and Fury's not either. I didn't say he was weak. I just don't think he hits all that hard for his size.

A lot of Heavyweights that are smaller are bigger punchers. Not necessarily better fighters, but bigger punchers.

Price stands a chance because he hits hard and Fury will come for a war, however, I can't see him winning becuase Fury will turn the fight into a brawl and then Tyson wins by stoppage.

If somebody would have asked me this BEFORE the two Thompson fights, I'd have said that David Price didn't stand a chance of losing this fight. Fury has been on the canvas for people with a lot less power than Price possesses. A lot less.

Nowadays I'd say Fury has a lot more chance based on Price's confidence having taken a severe knock. I still say that if Price lands, he wins. But will he believe in himself enough to do so? That's the key issue.

That could sum up any Price fight. He could knock almost anyone spark out. Huge puncher.

I've seen fury on the box a few times and he doesn't look that good, he gets hit easily as shown by a blown up old Cunningham who put him over. His win over Johnson was a snooze fest even my wife who enjoys the boxing said she was bored. The chisora fight was poor.

Price is a puncher and if he landed early and clean I think Tyson would struggle as he seems a slow starter and prone to going over early. But of he didn't finish it I would think fury's will to win would see him through.

What will be interesting regarding this is where both fighters are in a yrs time, price is gaining confidence again and could find that mojo again, fury could be coming off a loss to wlad which I think would be one sided and demoralising for fury.

But he does bring character to the game which is great in an age of bland boring idiots

If Peter Fury is able to keep a lid on Fury's seemingly intractable urge to forget the gameplan and drop his hands (see: the Steve Cunningham fight), Fury just has too much of everything for Price, who will need far more stamina to deal with Fury's workrate than he's shown in the past.

Either way, Price facing the loser of Fury-Chisora 2 makes economical and logical boxing sense.

Peter wasn't at the Cunningham fight, it showed.
