I'm not certain the fight will actually happen despite it being a mandatory. I'll tell you one thing. If Stiverne spends as much time on the ropes as he did against Arreola, Wilder will bomb him out in no time. The power is real.
Re: It's Official - Wladimir's next fight is Pulev!!!!!
Pulev is an overhyped Euro who will be a forgotten victim, yet Wilder is going to clear up the division? Can you explain how their showings back that up that suggestion?

The European heavyweights are very laughable.
They'd all fit in well with Jean Pierre Coopman.
Re: It's Official - Wladimir's next fight is Pulev!!!!!
Maybe Pulev should've spent his first 30 or so bouts fighting trash instead of thoroughly beating other contenders in his first 20 ....then he'd be the future of the division like flailing, untested Wilder.
I think that's exactly what the division needs. Let's clean up the mess by having guys spend years blowing away nobodies and getting top rankings without any notable wins. Let's clean it up by having champions who throw punches so wildly that they nearly fall over while doing so. Fuckk skill, technique, and proving yourself.
Pulev is hardly being hyped anyway; virtually everyone thinks he's going to lose. He's well-regarded because he's shown good ability while building a strong resume compared to the other HW contenders. You're being nonsensical Senior Pipino, just like when you were moaning about people giving Stevenson a chance of beating Dawson.

There goes my HW sweepstake man, Pulev....ELIMINATED!

Joke? And you want him to fight Fury? Fury would get demolished,as to Wilder Wlad would beat him easily also,at least Wilder might land that one wild punch.greenmonkey wrote:Are you kidding me.. Wladimir is a joke..lining up another bum,,,,why not fight Fury or Wilder ..hell anyone else

Are you off your meds? Wlad has been destroying everyone for 10 years. Everyone said that he avoids guys but he fought Chisora when everyone was screaming for it, what happened to Haye? Or Povetkin? Now in Povetkins defense the ref allowed entirely too much clinching but that's not Wlad's issue, his issue is winning and who cares how you get there. I am a big Povetkin fan but I understand the sport of Boxing and winning is winning and you do what you need to do. As for Leapai, he won a title eliminator, which he was suppose to lose, Wlad didn't have to give the guy anything but he gave Leapai $1.5 million. Say what you want about his style but he is a good guy who tries to take care of his opponents and to say that he is not talented is laughable at best. I'll say it now, if Wlad were to fight Wilder or Tyson Fury in the next 12 months he will win via knockout in both. Also, Pulev is no joke and is leaps and bounds better then Wilder and Stiverne and slightly better then Tyson Fury just with loads more experience, it will be a tough fight.greenmonkey wrote:Are you kidding me.. Vitali fought Chisora.Though I do not think Chisora deserved his first shot at a title and I definately do
not think he deserves another.
I agree with pretty much everything else you said.

Well at least you are not like every other Klit fan that thinks since one of the brothers
won a fight the other has no business even thinking of fighting them.
Chisora is a gate keeper.Never beat a legit contender yet.

Re: It's Official - Wladimir's next fight is Pulev!!!!!
I am not even a fan of either guy, I just think that some of the hate they get is unreal. I agree about Chisora, he can sell a fight and can win but as soon as he faces the elite it's lights out. I remember there was talk of Povetkin vs Chisora a few years back and the thought of the beating made me cringe.tiny_acres wrote:Well at least you are not like every other Klit fan that thinks since one of the brothers

He cleared up journeyman ranks pretty conclusively, that's for sure. Is that whats giving you an orgasm? And to have a nerve calling Europeans bums after decade of running HW division is just incredible. One wonders what they put in those burgers?SenorPipino wrote:Another overhyped European heavy destined to be just another forgotten victim of Klitschko.

Re: It's Official - Wladimir's next fight is Pulev!!!!!
Well that's not accurate. Pulev genuinely is one of the best Heavyweights in the world today. Although you're more than likely right when you're predicting another Wladimir win, but bare in mind that he is the Number One fighter at his weight for a reason!!!SenorPipino wrote:Another overhyped European heavy destined to be just another forgotten victim of Klitschko.

And putting Pulev in the same bracket is Leapai is absolutely laughable. Leapai was a bum and I'm still smarting at how exactly he got that World Titles shot at Klitschsko. Pulev is another matter entirely - but there is a very real possibility that this could be a boring fight, like Wlad's fight with Povetkin...
Re: It's Official - Wladimir's next fight is Pulev!!!!!
boxing heads are mad. pulev is a wortht fight for wlad. yes, mormeck and leapai are not
!!
but remember people who feel pulev is a bum, are the same people who think arreola(after 2 pastings from stiverne) vs wlad is a good fight!!!!

So you guys think he's something wonderful because he's actually "cleared up journeyman ranks pretty conclusively?" Wow. It's you guys who don't get it. Pulev might actually be the best of the heavyweight contenders but 'so what??'
The heavies stink and have since the end of the Holyfield, Tyson, Bowe, Lewis regime. Being the best of such a pathetic crop of pretenders doesn't qualify Pulev for anything.
And I'm not simply ragging on European fighters. The Americans have been the dregs also. Of course that's the reason why the Europeans have dominated for the past decade. Bring back the dominant American heavies and the European pretenders will be quickly forgotten.
And how do any of you know with such absurd certainty that Wilder isn't the Next Big Thing?
A lot of people dismissed Foreman in the 70s because his resume wasn't exactly studded with contenders before he received his title shot.
Many openly questioned whether he could really punch. Joe Frazier found out he could really punch.
Eventually Stiverne and the rest of the division will learn that Wilder's power is also no mirage.
Re: It's Official - Wladimir's next fight is Pulev!!!!!
I dont know it and I have never said it with any degree of certainty. It is people who are certain that he will be I have a problem with.SenorPipino wrote:And how do any of you know with such absurd certainty that Wilder isn't the Next Big Thing?
There. Might as well admit that you can see the future.SenorPipino wrote:Eventually Stiverne and the rest of the division will learn that Wilder's power is also no mirage.
Was not an American hypejob with 25 bums on his record found out when he stepped up just the other week? When will you learn, beating bums isn't beating champ. Pulev deserved the shot and he is a clear threat based on his resume and performance. Wilder has not.
Great HWs of the past might have been American, but the world caught up and the greats of today are European. So it is Americans who need to prove they can hang with European not the other way around.
Re: It's Official - Wladimir's next fight is Pulev!!!!!
Well, the statement speaks for itself. Whether you choose to believe it or not. Though, at the moment it's very difficult to argue against due to his current ranking.SenorPipino wrote:Pulev might actually be the best of the heavyweight contenders but 'so what??'
Well being the "best of the rest" (if you will) means that he is perfectly positioned to pick up World Heavyweight Titles when Waldimir Klitschsko does retire. And I'd also throw Tyson Fury, David Haye & Anthony Joshua (you'll be seeing him very soon) in to that bracket.SenorPipino wrote:Being the best of such a pathetic crop of pretenders doesn't qualify Pulev for anything.
These guys are future Heavyweight Champions of the World.
You are being prejudiced against people from who happen to come from another continent. That is a form of discrimination.SenorPipino wrote:Bring back the dominant American heavies and the European pretenders will be quickly forgotten.
Tread carefully here my friend, you could be getting yourself in to trouble.

Comparing Wilder to George Foreman.

American fighters of any weight class have no god given right to be superior to fighter's from other continents. fighters. It does not matter. If there style is pleasing to watch. They have heart and they are not total d-heads I will
be a fan.
That being said America will eventually have another heavyweight champion who dominates. When???
No freakin' idea. But it will happen one day.Klitschko is in the last stages of his career. He will either retire or get old and lose.
We will have 4 seperate champions for some time and someone else will emerge and dominate. It may take several years or it could happen immediately. No matter where they come from all we as fans can do is hope they are entertaining.

Note to all you Pulev groupies----
The big Bulgarian has opened a sizeable 6-1 underdog to the only active heavyweight over the past decade who has proven he can actually fight, Wlad Klitschko.
It seems that if a fighter loses to the oftentimes lazy Cuban, Odlanier Solis, 3 times as an amateur, he doesn't have the pedigree to seriously challenge for the professional heavyweight title. Even in this forlorn era.
BTW, after WK thrashes Pulev, who's the next scintillating mandatory challenger? Bostov again?

This is the time period in which you are looking back at so myopically.
Somehow though, I doubt facts like this will stop you tapping away at your keyboard.
Re: It's Official - Wladimir's next fight is Pulev!!!!!
Chagaev, who is considered one of Wlad's best wins, didn't look impressive against Oquendo today.
Remember that Povetkin struggled with a shot Chagaev, and went life and death with a CW in Marco Huck.
