Parsons Cross
Re: Parsons Cross
Carlos, you have good points and there is no way on earth that Hexthorpe, Doncaster needed 500 Slavik Romanies placed there; though the area had similar issues to other non affluent areas this just compounds the problem and creates other problems that are resented and do not add anything to the area or to the people who have lived in the area for generations (and that should count for something).

Re: Parsons Cross
this might sound harsh but i think anyone that comes to GB illegally then claim they can't go home because it's not safe or have no ID so we don't know where to send them should be sent to some shitty cold scotish island were they can either fend for themselfs or work in a state run factory to pay there way
Re: Parsons Cross
ill take this but only if they have a young son with major Football skills and promises to play for scotland :)

If it is all so fair to place people in the poorest places then they ought to make it more fair by placing them in the most desirable and leafy areas so that the people who make the decisions can live with the consequences of their actions instead of other people.

Re: Parsons Cross
To be fair to the Roma's, they set up camp in Park Lane. You can't get much richer than that. Roma's don't discriminate.palooka wrote:If it is all so fair to place people in the poorest places then they ought to make it more fair by placing them in the most desirable and leafy areas so that the people who make the decisions can live with the consequences of their actions instead of other people.
Re: Parsons Cross
Fair play and I reckon they'll be in Hexthorpe a lot longer than Park Lane.mickey1975 wrote:To be fair to the Roma's, they set up camp in Park Lane. You can't get much richer than that. who is here to actively scrounge.
Disagree about the views of local people being having priority as in history, nobody gave a
damn about the native Americans, Aborigines, Zulus, Pashtuns etc and what happened
to them in their own lands.

Re: Parsons Cross
Just watched the programme and what a piece of lazy journalism that really was. They focused on a group of 13 - 16 yr olds apparently 50 strong(never saw more than 10)who were terrorising a local takeaway. The feral kids are sancos best customers! What disapointed me more was the fact that why the first section 30 on PArson X was issued which was far more worrying and had nothing to do with trouble making teenagers outside shops which has been going on since me dad was a teddy boy! The original reason for the section 30 was due to an outbreak in shootings, cars torched, stabbing sand reprisals between two families and their associates(my nephew got one in the leg but this was never reported as it was off the estate at the time. The heavy police presence worked as gangs are more reluctant to carry guns round when there's an armed response on every corner. Said families are mostly banged up but my point is these two families were really the only major problem on the cross, let's be honest how many even small towns have hoodies on the shops making life a misery for joe public? As for those numbskulls at the EDL march, as much as I despise fascism, I'm sorry to say that they did their job cos don't matter what the BBC or spin doctor bobbies say that boozer had gone in for planning before the march and only got knocked back after they knew how much trouble and national attention it would get. As for page hall I say live and let live down there, the Pakistani community grew and developed out of a White British working class area. The majority of white ppl have moved. We are preached too almost daily about showing tolerance toward integration so I think the the Pakistani community should share 'their streets' with our new European friends. Just to leave you with a tale of racial harmony, my daughter lives on the outskirts of the cross and their filthy, gobshite, scrounging White British neighbours were evicted two months ago to be told that a Slovak family of 7 would be moving in. The new neighbours have been in a month, the gardens immaculate, the kids are the most polite on the street and the parents are warm and extremely respectful of their new surroundings! Anyway who do you fancy in the kel brook fight?

I dont get these lads wanting to hang about causing shit, its notpoverty thats to blame, i grew up in a one parent family, mum on benefits but i realised from being young i needed to break the family chain of poverty..ended up at uni,got a degree and am in a decent job, wife and kids..still live in acouncil house tho! Even as a kid and having nothing,i didnt want to go out causing trouble, some kids did tho, its the person and not the situation that is to blamemanno wrote:Just watched the programme and what a piece of lazy journalism that really was. I played in a couple of those games, lester divers god rest his soul. We used to play with hislot up pyebank, all the dudes used to park their beamers on the field so u used to be careful not to hit one of them with a stray shot! I was a few years below his crew so we were all respectful and quiet when we played with em! I was one of the few white kids in the area and being able to play football helped me to integrate. Good times they were always a game on at least once a week..manno wrote:Lester

I used to go to Niche around 15 years ago and Lester Divers was supposed to be one to watch out for, I think Ross Burkinshaw's uncle or older brother was a bouncer there - he was sound.

I had some brilliant nights there - the tunes were incredible - still got a carrier bag full of tapes in the loft - Les Skelton, Mark Skelton etc.
Re: Parsons Cross
It was friggin hot in there and the stairs weren't a bad place to catch your breath, I thought I was the only person to take my shirt off though, didn't realise there was a nutty bloke who had the same idea. He must have been there on a different night.

I can't believe Palooka frequented the Niche.
Colour me shocked.

Not really. If you imagine a window cleaner doing their job at double speed without the tools of a trade, you've pretty much got a one man e'd up dancing machine.

Some of the coolest people around used to go there and they'd not got a penny to scratch their arses with, some beautiful women as well but I used to go from Donny to Sidney Street for the music - there was no where like it.
