I think he mentioned it to Kugan yesterday, who got excited and announced the thread title on twitter, which then looks like it forced Ryan to announce it earlier than he would have liked. Looked annoyed actually.

Looks like everyone wants a to shut up Eubank jr, would be a good fight though, can't see how this fight would propel Rhodes forward though, it would do far more for Eubank jr, surely Rhodes would have wanted to fight euro level guys, to build up his rankings towards another world title shot, not take on young hungry fighters in no win situations at English level, he spars cotto, then wants Eubank jr, apparently avenging a spar from years ago between gym mate Eroll Graham and Chris Eubank jr's Dad, it don't wash with me, at all, I thought Eroll Graham schooled Eubank sr, in them spars, yes he got dropped once, but Eubank sr admitted himself that he was out boxed.

You're wrong, it was at The Velodrome in Manchester for The European title. But yes, he has boxed at a hotel in Manchester, as well as The MEN, The O2, The Sheffield Arena, Millennium Stadium....

I can understand any ex-pro athlete missing the day to day routine of their sport once they retire, but surely this isn't the answer ?

It is not as if he will earn loads of dough.

Not sure why Spice Boy was a bit hostile towards the journalist. Why tell him about it in the first place if you don't want the news to break?

Even though he's been on the scene for what seems like a lifetime, Ryan is still only a relatively young man, if he wants to come back I say all the best to him. It's not like he's one of these who has allowed himself to properly go to seed and is now kidding himself on. He was sparring Miguel Cotto only a metter of weeks ago.

I would guess he told him in the understanding that he wouldn't break the news, allowing him to announce it when the time was right.

I've heard he's only doing it so our Parsons Cross can change his name back to "twenty six" after the bad publicity the real Parsons Cross got from The BEEB last week.
