come on its got to be tyson.
in his early days when he used to walk to the ring with his poncho on you just knew something explosive was going to happen.
even now as a circus act he`s compulsive viewing.
there`s been better fighters but for edge of your seat / whats gonna happen next entertainment iron mike beats everyone else hands down.

Hamed I think had more good fights than Tyson did, Tyson just went through people like a knife through butter at his peak, they were events, but not great fights.
Hamed was a real ratings winner.
anyone heard any more about him training in tenerife.

All good choices but Benn is my first choice British fighter. As far as overseas fighters go I love watching Gatti. As for my fav fight...has to be Morales-Barrera I.

Good pick Bennie... I'd like to add another from that era who also starred in many great fights on TV at that time, Kid Gavilan. I actually have the bout between Kid Gavilan and Tiger Jones.... great fight!.... have you got any of Jones' other fights? ...or many fights for that period.... I'm quite interested in trading tapes.

I wish, Silkov. I remember reading about Tiger Jones in an old magazine and his crowdpleasing TV efforts. Lamphey said he had some Sugar Ray Robinson welterweight fights on tape the other day. He could be your man.

Closer to the present and to home Rocky Kelly should get a mention as a marvelous TV fighter of the 80s!..... who can forget his wars with Kostues Petrue and Tony Brown!.
