Yeah I thought he lost a few rounds. Steve gave a pretty honest interview afterwards tho, so I hope he can improve a hell of a lot from that showing.

Fielding up next. For some reason people rate this guy as well above domestic level. I think he is around about domestic, British title winning level. He aint George Groves at all so I don't expect this one to be the blowout others think.

Why is Stephen Smith getting a world title shot? Pointless.

Fielding could lose this one, only competitive fight on the card.

As we suspected Gonzalez has landed a good few. Fielding looks good in spurts, but I get the impression Gonzalez could keep it going better into the late part of the fight.

I like the Callum Smith fight personally. Significant step up from his best opponent previous, which with a prospect you can't moan at. Even if it does end up being a wide UD, it's kinda what he needs.

Bellew and Cleverly are in poor fights tho.

There really needs to be some clear space between Sky & Matchroom, the close ties have led to the most ridiculously biased coverage I've ever heard.

I'd check out the Thompson fight if you want to see what Miura can do in enemy territory.

I'll be honest the depth Japan has at 135 is amazing. Miura, Uchiyama, Kaneko (REAL talent), Masao Nakamura and Rikki Naito

Agreed, they were always sycophantic towards Warren fighters when they were doing business, but it seems even worse towards Matchroom fighters, it's almost patronising.

Nah don't live out there just follow the scene vary carefully...tend to find the good fighters have to prove themselves quicker than over here and instead of waiting 5 or 6 years to know how good someone is we can find out in 3 or 4 years.

I cant warm to Luke Campbell at all.

He struggled in that fight, and was quite frankly rather average. Then he just goes on and pretty much slagged his opponents off saying he was negative. Cheeky little twat
