Here is Joshua being stopped by a Romanian named Mihai Nistor. I looked for this fight for a while and didn't realize that it has been online for several months. Let me preempt the screams of 'it was the amateurs!! It means nothing! eff you for posting this!' by saying that I'm posting so people like me who were curious about the fight and may not have seen it have a chance to do so. Many future pro stars were stopped in the amateurs, Joshua was very inexperienced compared to most international level amateurs, and he became world champ later that year.

He's clearly hurt there, and it's a correct stoppage for the ams. All the same, he seems to take those shots leading to the stoppage fairly well, especially the first which looked to come from outside his line of sight.

Haven't watched the whole thing yet.

He definitely looked hurt, but If I remember right... Joshua had only just been called up to the GB squad. This was his 3rd or 4th fight in as many days, and he'd done exceptional to reach the quarters, considering being little more than a novice.
So maybe tiredness and conditioning may have played a part here.
I know he took some heavy shots of Medzhidov in the World Ams final who is a seriously heavy puncher and fired back without any real effect.
