I gather it must be something to do with his behaviour on here mostly? It cant just be coz he thinks he's world class and deserves a title shot, coz thats most boxers and most boxers come across as arrogant/confident,there's a fine line
Smith doesnt seem any more boastful than your average boxer,he's hardly Adrien Broner
So what did he actually do on here to become a target?
I know he doesnt deserve a shot at a world title but neither did Burns and he's one of the most well liked guys on the circuit
C'mon dish the dirt
I don't like him because he's done hardly anything to back up his boasts or the hype he gets.
Smith's best wins: Quigley & Dodson x2. Pretty awful for an 11+ year career.
I can see that but he's not in the minority there ,anyway it seems the hate for him came way before he stated talking of being due a title shot
I imagine he used to get himself into loads of hassle on here getting his knickers in a twist, just reading between the lines of course

He's only the third best super middleweight in Liverpool in my opinion.
Its doubtful he's even the best in his family. Still good luck to him, I'd love to see another British world champion
I understand that people feel he doesn't deserve it, but I don't mind him getting an opportunity, he certainly isn't the worst world title challenger.
And lets face it, he is more than likely going to lose anyway, I just hope he vacates the British title so the younger lads can fight for it

Basically, the answer to your question is, nothing more than any other boxer. Because Smigga has an opinion and expressed it on here on occasion people began to dislike him. The other reasons are "not deserving it". It's just a load of bitter old shite that people come up with when they don't like things. I work with people like that on a daily basis and they have this attitude basically because they're too closed minded to do something about their situation and improve themselves.
We should back a brit abroad. Smigga has a real chance in this fight. Abraham did not look good against Stieglitz the last time they fought, and i've seen Abraham struggle to turn it on against boxers much much worse than Smith.
To call him a favourite would be wrong becuase he's untested and unproven at this level. But he's got a big shout in this fight.
Smith doesnt have half the punching power necessary to deter abraham. When Abraham lands, he will take the scousrs head off, that much is for sure.
doesn't always work like that. It needs to be the right shot. You'd think Abraham just needed to go in there and club him about a bit the way some people have it, imo.
I don't want to give Smith a chance. He doesn't even come close to deserving one. But even though he isn't great, he has a chance. It's crazy to say, but it's true.

I think it will be a competitive fight but at some point he'll get clipped i reckon and taken out. He doesnt have the best punch resistance.
I was actually impressed with Abraham in the Stieglitz rubber match, for first time in a while,i didnt see his last defence against Sjekloca so its hard to tell what Abraham will turn up,Abraham at SMW is nothing special but i havent seen anything of Smith recently at a good level to suggest he is either
Smith has a chance definitely but i predict after starting well,Abraham will eventually catch up with him and stop him late with Smith starting to look a mess

I didn't think he deserved to get the decision over Quigley

you're not exactly unbiased when it comes to Smith tho are you mate?
Smith was destroyed by 2 incredibly green SMW's in Degale & Groves, both whom would be seen asonly slight favourites against king Arthur i imagine?
Smith has done fantastically to get the pay day, and unlike others i dont begrudge him of it, nor do i dislike him. It's simply the fact he has nothing to offer outside of domestic class now, arguably he was spoon fed for far to long, and wasted to many years early on.
was it 30 fights before degale? and only 2 significant wins at that point?
