1968 - Ali stops Joe in 10 rounds.

Joe fights on and gets the fight with Foreman as a final eliminator with the same result as in real life ie bounced up and down like a little rubber ball.

Wow, Gian....I was sparing Yancey that scene altogether......

You are cruel and unusual with your flights of fancy.

At least my scenario was good for the economy.

And Ali fights on having 8 fights between 68 and 71. In 1973 he faces Norton and a slightly shop worn Ali quits on his stool after having his jaw broken (in the first round wasn't it?). Ali takes a massive lay off (more than years would you believe) and then returns to fight Jimmy Young. Ali is not regarded as the GOAT at this point and is given no special favors. Young by wide decision and Ali retires after a solid career, after which he is often mentioned in the same breath as Floyd Patterson.

Now that's a highly unlikely outcome. Chances are it goes just like I say it goes.

Not one chance in hell pitty-pat Ali stops '68 Frazier.

Unless maybe they had Joe drugged.

:D

How does Ali rank among the champs in terms of gifts?

He has to be right up there, one would think.

Well between Ali and Frazier they've got 3 KO's between them when it comes to Foreman. And Joe has the lion's share.

Well, between Frazier and Ali they've got 1 KO between them when it comes to Chuvalo.

And Joe has the only share.

Hey, wait a minute....

How could this be?

Didn't this occur after the "exile"?

Wasn't Ali totally ring rusty and way off his game after the "layoff"?

He went 15 hard rounds and freaking knocked out a man that no one else could!

Wow.

I'm impressed.

So much for this "layoff" business.

I guess.

Come on Ali cabana boys, spin it.

'67 Ali kayos Oscar in 3.

Do I have it right?

:D
