Yes. What have Arreola or Solis done that is as good as beating Oquendo in the last few years? They've also both lost their last fights.

a) That was the official scores. Unofficially, Jennings won that fight pretty clearly.
b) Jennings is better than Adamek. Adamek is overrated in these rankings and ridiculously past-it. Adamek robbed Cunningham (who wasn't top 15 at the time), only beat Chambers (who isn't in the top 25) due to a shoulder injury, and lost to Glazkov (who wasn't top 15 at the time). If Jennings is better than Adamek, which he is, then Jennings is entitled to move-up at least one spot.
c) Prior to this fight, Jennings had proven absolutely 0. In the course of this fight, he removed doubt about a lot of his previously untested attributes.

Beating Oquendo is not an achievement worthy of a top 15 rankings. Solis has not done anything, and doesn't belong in there either, and you won't have me saying otherwise. Arreola dominantly beat Seth Mitchell recently. Chagaev unimpressively won against Oquendo. Mitchell clearly beat Jonathon Banks in the rematch not so long ago. Mitchell and Banks have both been consistently ranked above Oquendo for quite many years. Mitchell and Arreola had also frequently occupied spots above Chagaev prior to the past 13 months of results. Being better than Chagaev before + gaining more ground that Chagaev since then = remaining ahead of Chagaev. Also, I think Chagaev is pretty much easy pickings for any top 20 heavyweight, whereas Arreola could very realistically upset a handful of them, just like he did not so long ago against a guy who was in the top 15.

The #8 slot in the heavyweight rankings is not the threshold for being elite. Elite is like the top 1 at heavyweight, the top 4 at welterweight, the top 2 at super middleweight, etc..

Well its not really fair that you guys are bagging the current crop of Heavyweights without first having a look at what has gone on over the past 25/30 years.
when i got into Boxing as a 12 year old in the mid 1960's there was only 1 Champion and 8 divisions, a little after that a couple more crept in, then by 1974 we had 14 or so divisions.
Then during the 1980's we grew to over 17 weight divisions,
NOW with 4 champions in every division thats 68 Champions.
now with the Cruiserweight Division cutting in half the OLD Heavyweight Division we are left with the biggest and by no means the best of the bunch,
Which means in the 1960's /70's our current crop would be Fringe contenders with only 3 or 4 making it into the top 10.
Like it or not the 9th /10th contenders of say 1972 would be in the top 2 or 3 today,
Have a go at putting together your top 15 of todays Heavy's and Cruisers and see where that takes you, and only ONE CHAMPION!!!!
