The idea of the very low output Hopkins out-landing the high volume, accurate, rangey Wlad in any round is preposterous. Bernard's only possible legitimate game plan would be that he would have to outside box like Holyfield - Valuev or Haye - Valuev; but Wlad is not very sluggish considering that he's a heavyweight. Ring size would be a factor, but not really.
Given BJ's to Wlad much lately?? A "Blocked Punch", lol that's some serious hobknobbing there.

Grabimir Bitchko would be too slow and his simple strategy of throwing one shot and hugging wouldn't work, Nard picks him apart with counters because he's too slow.
Way to sound like the dumbest person who ever attempted to state an opinion on boxing. If it's an act, then I have no idea why anyone would choose to act that dumb.

Says the dumbest buttwipe who said this:

lol

That's a very intellectual statement you made there Genius, you care to elaborate how this happens (breaking a man in half)??

We're waiting to hear this one............................................................

As small as Haye looked next to Vladimir, I couldnt imagine the size disparity between BHop and Vlad, even if Hopkins came in at 210-220 pounds. I aint saying its impossible, but BHop's chances of lasting any sort of distance, let alone winning, would almost certainly be among the biggest longshots in the sports history.

Yeah because SIZE is the only factor that determines the outcome of who wins and who will lose. :shame:

Look I know people are desperate cus the division is stagnant with crap, however, there is no chance Hopkins could even last a few rounds with Vladimir. He's too small, he's too old, and it's too late in the game to jump two weight divisions. Maybe Hopkins would have the best resume, and have the best skills and all around status as a fighter that Klitschko would ever face... but I'd wager to think that David Haye would kick Hopkins butt, let alone Klitschko.

Why? Roy Jones was 193 when he beat Ruiz.
199... That was the actual weight.

Either way, I think back then the Cruiser limit was 190, I could be wrong though
It was 190

Actually at the time, the heavyweight division was 196 and up. Cruiserweight was 176- 195.

It is not the only factor but it is a deciding factor when both boxers are skilled and one is WAY bigger and more powerful. Wlad could just punch Barnard's shoulders and gloves, and in a few rounds BHop will be disabled. Besides, Hopkins is a defensive fighter with a low work rate. How can he score points against Wlad having a huge reach advantage and a very good jab ?

This thread is ridiculous.

I disagree. If Hopkins were somehow able to weigh in around 195-200 lbs and take on Haye, I'd have to lean towards Hopkins winning that fight. He has balls, Haye doesn't.

Hopkins's chin can take Wlad punches ?

It is not even chin. His shoulders and gloves can't take Wlad's punches

He would still be 6'1" with no power. There is SOME possibility that he could stay there with Hay, but there is no way he would survive Wlad.

I'm fairly confident that when Haye is active and not rusty, he could defeat every active fighter that is currently south of cruiserweight. Someone like prime RJJ or Michael Spinks could probably compete with Haye, but not the old bag of dust Hopkins who is three years older than the 2010 version of Hopkins who fell and injured his shoulder, reminiscent of your grandmother that time she fell and couldn't get up.

In case anyone has forgotten, Hopkins only got a SD against Beibut Shumenov, who is an overrated piece of crap who doesn't have any legitimate key wins at all except against 38-year-old Montell Griffin and Vyacheslav Uzelkov. Hopkins went from two razor-thin fights with Pascal, to breaking his old man bones from a fall against Dawson, to losing clearly to Dawson, to winning unimpressively against overrated Cloud (who previously robbed Campillo), to barely beating overrated paper champ Shumenov (no never legitimately beat anyone good). Hopkins is starting to appear as though he doesn't even belong in the LHW top 3.

LOL, disabled, lol.

This thread is ridiculous, I've never known any fighter to be able to disable a fighter by punching through his gloves................that's some funny and unbelievable crap right there but you go on believing that BS if you want.

Hopkins would school both Wlad and Haye (David was afraid to face BHop, Nard called him out).

I'm interest to hear how exactly he would "school" Wlad. B-Hop has a low work rate and wins fights because he is good defensively and he holds a lot. He makes fights ugly. He's not beating Wlad at that game, nor is he getting inside his jab. Fight would be more one sided than Wlad/Mormeck.

Or.....

If Bernard had the same slick skills and talent, and his weight was in the 210-220 lb area, do you think he could have beaten Wlad?

:?? :?? :?? :??
...no on both counts...

I would confront your second question with the question of my own: If Wlad had an iron chin and moved to wherever BH is/was at any given time, do you think he could have beaten Bernard? This scenario is as improbably as your hypothetical because in both cases that would be two entirely DIFFERENT boxers...
