Mike shepherd is what I heard last.
Realistically only 12 days so they will find someone between 75-160.
However I think MOLI or VIDONDO from Argentina are fine at this timescale

Moli vs Wilder is victory for Wilder Ko1. Moli is bad, old and out of shape. He is only top 50 boxrec because he has won many bad and out of shapes argentinians boxers. It is the problem with boxrec ranks, you can go up in the ranks winning nobodies.

I would like Kevin Johnson. he is not dangerous and Comes in to lose and collect the paycheck in These days but he can give you some rounds.

I don't think wilder should enter a Championship fight without having fought at least 6-7 rounds once.

Wilder needs rounds under his belt otherwise he will most likely come unstuck at the top level, but let's face it, his team have no interest in developing him properly as a fighter.
If they did they would have stepped him up 10-15 fights ago, no, all they want to do is market him as a KO specialist.
He will continue to face soft touches until he gets his shot at the WBC title.
Also, it looks like he has been thrown on this card to create interest with casual fans, as good as some of the fighters on the card are, Shawn Porter may be the only fighter they have heard of.

Been saying this for 2 years.

Shannon Briggs would be very entertaining though.

He has less than 2 weeks till the fight.Who the hell can he get on such short notice and no training camp?
Why not. He's had an excuse for every fight of his pro career so far. He's consistent if nothing else.

It's not like they just decided yesterday, hey let's fight in two weeks. They should have planned this better to get him a good opponent, but that would actually take some confidence in his ability which his management clearly doesn't have.

But I guess it would be ridiculous to expect him to actually challenge himself when he has a completely unearned title shot on the horizon anyway. But hey, for a 32nd tuneup fight there's nothing wrong with fighting a guy who's 21-17, been stopped 12 times (including in the first round by "massive" punching Ruslan Chagaev), and is on a two fight losing streak (would have been five if not for his decision win over a guy 2-11). I wonder how many punches it will take for this first round stoppage. My prediction is three.

And of course the whole Fury/Chisora/Ustinov debacle...they were able to get Alex on three or four days notice. He'd probably take the Wilder fight too, though obviously that's completely speculation.

I would love to see him vs Ustinov. Golden Boy, Al Haymon, etc need to start putting some money where their mouth is. Tony Thompson turned down a Wilder fight because GB wouldn't put up the money he wanted. I am as frustrated as anyone wanting to see Wilder tested. If he can't beat Ustinov, he has no business fighting Stiverne for the title. Ustinov was ready to fight Fury, so he should be ready to fight Wilder.

Wilder's last 5 out of 6 opponents seemed like a step up at least on paper. I kind of look at his career so far like Canelo's. Canelo fought his first 30 fights in Mexico against nobodies, and no one cared. Wilder has been in the public eye sooner, so more is expected, and rightfully so.

Why do we care if hasn't gone rounds when does step up? Whenever he does it will matter or don't let's just let it play out. If his team did him
a disservice in match him up it will show.

Adamek or Cunningham would be really nice. More likely we get someone like Fres Oquendo, though.

I have serious doubts it will be anyone at or around the level of Fres...plus Fres has a pretty good chin and the Wilder hype train doesn't want to lose any steam by going the distance. He's the hardest puncher who ever lived, remember :OhYes:

You say this as if it only applies to Wilder and not Kovalev... and clearly Kovalev"barely touched" Caparello, even by Jim "yellow teeth" Lampley's standard... "dive"? "fix"? "Over-hyped"? "Never gone more than 8 Rounds"?

TO ME it applies to GGG, Kovalev, Quigg, Wilder and too anyone else he people believe is a lot of hype or haven't step if your opinion is that they haven't gone rounds or their opponents aren't up to snuff at some point they will get exposed right? All I'm saying is let it happen if you believe it will. We shouldn't be crying if they haven't step up yet because I our minds there bums anyway right?

Kovalev obliterated a divisional top 5 fighter 6 opponents ago. Then he blew-out another fighter who was ranked about #5 at the time. He just got done laying waste to a guy that was roughly #10. Deontay's key wins are Malik Scott, Audley Harrison, Kelvin Price, and a ridiculously past-it Lyakhovich; and at least half of them even looked like they were taking dives. Kovalev has demonstrated significantly more skill than Wilder, and his power has been tested against much better chins. If Kovalev could even be compared to Wilder at all, then Kovalev is the God version of Wilder. Even with their sizes being what they are, I think Kovalev would stand a good chance of beating Wilder straight-up.

Chauncy Welliver would F Wilder's world up even on short notice. 400 HW Rounds and Welliver's Never Went Down! Wilder wouldn't change this astonishing super chin of all super chins fact. :box:

Tony Thompson to do to Wilder what he did to Price? I wouldn't rule it out.

Don't care. Mike Sheppard would be hilarious: couldn't they get China Smith? He'd be perfect IMO. You could even argue that he was once what Wilder is now. I can't believe that guy is back and fighting AND only 35. He's practically a young buck in this division.

The big difference is that Kovalev has been in with many top 5-15 opponents, including some like Cleverly who have a history of durability. I think people are more critical of who Wilder has fought rather than how he performed, and I doubt you'd see anywhere near the same level of criticism if he were blowing out opponents who weren't considered especially fragile, well past their best, badly undersized, etc.

And did you even see the Campillo fight? Kovalev hit him repeatedly with power shots and it's not remotely comparable to Wilder-Scott; if you're suggesting it is you should rewatch the fight.

I have an idea......none of you mother fuckers watch the wilder fight? That way, you won't be pissed off at the bum that he knocks out? He is a kid trying to make it to the top. Granted, he has fought mostly bums so far, but the last 4 or 5 guys have been a "step up" by most of your opinions. When I don't like a fight, I don't watch it, and don't bitch about it. Quit your fornicating bitching.

What do you expect from these euro clowns. They can't stand it when American fighters get any press or attention.

Ward cheats. Wilder fights nobody. Hopkins cheats. Floyd is a duck. All the same regurgitated BS.
