Ward is definitely P4P no1 for giving reasons why big fights haven't and happened. It's amazing when you think about all the fighters in the UK who have had promotional and managerial disputes and still fight. Richar Abril is another example, he has a fight set despite ongoing disputes within his team. Will Ward fight by the time the year is done with? Will he buggery.

Golovkin is topping Froch's Facebook poll at the moment, which is interesting. Hopefully this will get interviewers asking GGG about Froch and the fight can start to be built. Even if Chavez eventually becomes the opponent (ala Maidana/Khan in Floyd's Facebook poll) it means that there is genuine interest in the fight that can't be ignored. It might be that Froch has his PPV fight in Vegas with Chavez with the promise of fighting Golovkin later down the line, as I think Golovkin will be a big fight in Britain but probably couldn't be done as a PPV in the US at this point in time. But I think we'll see this one happen at some point now.

GGG Needs a big name on his resume to improve his market value. If he fought and beat Canelo, that might just do it.
Canelo's move to 160lbs is long overdue.

This is a great fight, and one that Carl was win now, but in 18 months, maybe not. Golovkin has yet to grow into 168, and could well just not be physically strong enough for Carl, nor able to put him away.
Carl has shown time and time again how tough he is, and he's the proven man at 168. It's only 8 pounds in weight, but those 8 pounds when athletes are so finely tuned and carrying so little body fat, is enough.
I'd love to see this fight, and if Carl is considering it at all, I'm extremely impressed. Someone is going to have to really make this work financially though, as otherwise, at this stage, why bother.
It would be good if GGG could get in a high profile fight himself, before facing Carl.

Good point , If Froch is thinking about it , its one he should definetly make happen sooner rather than later.

I doubt Canelo will fight Golovkin. It will be Canelo/Cotto that's next on the horizon. How about Golovkin's debut at 168 vs TBA on the undercard of Froch-Chavez? Have him blow somebody away, impress the PPV audience and then he can challenge the winner of the main event, and they in turn can call him out? Kerching!

Out of Golovkin, DeGale and Chavez, Golovkin is by far the standout choice IMO. Serious respect to Froch if he goes in with GGG, and likewise to GGG if he goes in with Froch. This would be a real fans fight with huge appeal.
I would have to favour Froch, he has proven himself so many times at the top level, Golovkin has also never done 168, the cards would be in Frochs favour going in.
Great fight, hope it happens.
