I'd love Bundu to get a crack, but not as much as I want to see Khan vs Brook.

Khan vs Brook is my tip.... think this could be a hard fight to get signed? Will Eddie make Khan an offer he can't refuse, OR will Golden Boy promote? Then it might be on allegedly.

I know Khan mentioned Wembley - but surely it is fight destined for the north of England. On the year of the 25th anniversary, how about Hillsborough as a venue?

I can also see Alexander possibly getting the chance first also.

Abregu is a very dangerous opponent, I'd give Kell/Eddie mad props for taking that fight as first defence. Would comfortaby be his 2nd best win.

I thought Bundu was giving Gavin a rematch? Or did I dream it?

Good point, gents, though the more I watch of Thurman the more I realise he's not quite the finished article. There's a little bit of Kermit Cintron about him, imo. He's a bit raw, for all his power.

I know what you mean mate he's technically rough around the edges but he has that 'you hurt me, I'll hurt you harder thing' and has the power to execute it. Makes for an exciting viewing.

It's going to be a glory, homecoming night at Sheffield arena before the end of the year, Bundu fits the bill as a credible, unbeaten challenger who's just beaten Frankie Gavin. We could get a lot worse than Bundu.

Its always telling if you go by what people do, not what they say. Scott Quigg has had the WBA belt for almost two years (counting from when he picked up the interim strap against Munroe). Don't go by what they say, go by what they do. Once Quigg got that belt, he's spent nearly two years defending it, mainly in Manchester. Keep mentioning the division's big names to keep the fans keen but the business model is to keep hold of that belt, defending it in front of the home town fans. This is the route Brook will go down, they'll try to develop him in Sheffield at the arena they sold out when he fought Matthew Hatton.

PS:- I don't blame Quigg one bit. I'd do just the same. But talk of Brook vs Thurman, Khan or Marquez for the foreseeable future is premature. There is money to be made and a title reign to embark upon.

A name that appeals to the US market seems to be what he is driving towards. So my initial guess of Bundu is obviously out of the running based on that.

Rios would be a risky fight actually. His chin is rock solid and he'll keep coming all night with that pressure. Kell would box his head off but i reckon it would be tough.

It's a good fight for a first defense. Kell is by far a better boxer but he'd have to make sure he comes into the ring in the same kind of condition he was for the Porter fight so he doesnt gas late on.

Rios made nearly $1 million last bout. He is generally paid very well, is used to being the house fighter, and would be expected to lose against Kell. I imagine that he would have to be paid very handsomely to come over to Sheffield. Someone like Bundu would be far less expensive and still a credible fight.

I like the Bundu fight. The only problem would be that he is unknown in the US and Eddie is trying to lure their networks.

Well it's undeniable that a fight with Rios is far more likely to attract US TV and boost Kell's profile there.

I think it will take a bunch of $$ but it could be worth it.

aye, but Rios would be a lot more hittable than Porter was. he makes Carson Jones look like a peak Sweetpea. it helps your stamina if you can't miss the other bloke. sometimes the phrase 'having a warm body to hold you up while you throw punches' is pretty much literally true.

would be a great match to make Brook look good, but for reasons given above i'm note sure those concerned would be shelling out the wedge it'd take to get The Catcher's Mitt over here.

My understanding is that Rios is very much in the frame. Wld love to see that fight.

And as said above Kell wld have enough fear to make sure trained like a demon again
