Request a mandatory defence from the IBF, otherwise he'll be stuck fighting a mandatory in June when he could be fighting Khan or someone similar for a lot more money.
There's usually always ways of delaying mandatories even if you've got o ay step aside money

Personally I think Rios is sh*t and was only any use at 135, whereby he freakishly got down to the weight then bullied his way to victory.

Thumper Thurman is legit, I think that one happens after a Khan fight fo sho.
hell yes, on rios. Someone said he is a puncher- not at 147 against people near his own size, he isn't.

brook would fookin club him

They said half a million dollars when I watched it last night

Plus Brook should box his head off.
It was $925k in US dollars, so slightly over £550.

Your second point is one reason Rios will be expensive, though if EH is highly concerned with Brook's US profile he's the type of opponent who Brook should fight.

He is after all a pressure fighter who throws high volume, he has power and has a granite chin. Brook is still relatively inexperienced at the top level and has struggled with pressure fighters before.
If you're talking about Carson Jones 1, the excuses of Kell being unprepared and unfit now seem to be true after he handled the pressure of a much higher caliber opponent on Saturday night.
As I noted Rios is a high volume puncher pressure fighter who likes to trade. Porter is a spoiler, he throws one punch then jumps in and wrestles you to death. Very different challenges. I guess Brook learned something from Carson Jones fight, but still Rios should not be underestimated.

aye true but that's a style that limits your chances to counter. for better or worse, Rios lets his hands go in combination and gives many more opportunities.

I think brook would beat rios handily as I don't think rios has
Much pop at 147.

However the Carson jones fight still brings back some uneasy memories ............

Rios is also very flat footed; Porter was up on his toes bouncing in.

Rios is easy to hit no doubt, and Brook will outbox him fairly easy. But his strength is that he takes punch and gives back. Although Brook is probably the biggest puncher he faced. So if Rios takes his blows then he can cause troubles. Otherwise I agree there is a good chance this does not end well for Rios.

Guerrero says he would have it

http://www.BS.com/robert-guerr ... -uk--81304

But he got paid $1million for his last fight. Tougher fight than Rios though hope it's not Josito Lopez Be a repeat of Senchenko I think.

Not got my hopes up for this first defence can't see Rios coming over and I do think kell beats him easy

Right you are. I think Rios is being matched up with Provodkinov though

The Ghost is no mug, tough and a tidier boxer then Porter. It would be a cracking match up though

I'd rather see that fight than Rios-Brook. I don't see how it wouldn't be a war.

Solid hitter. Rangy, bit basic & raw-looking wannabe sharpshooter type. Throws from the outside, not a swarmer or anything like that. Bad defence (like, negative head movement) but not too slow. Been down once or twice, doesn't seem very durable to me.

I don't think Kell is as quick & mobile as Bradley, which would suit Abregu more, but Bradley had him rocking & reeling on more than one occasion & Bradley can't punch for shite.

Kell might stop him & could look good doing so.

Its about the only fight Bob has left with his welters that wont be a rematch, I think they will fight and Prov will win, Pac beats Algieri, Pac then fights Prov.
